Well thanks everyone. Just spent some coin on a jump starter. Good investment though. Amazon lighting deal. Got it for $50

Yes! Can’t believe I forgot that! I always used to carry a roll of toilet paper. You never know! Even when I would go dirt bike riding I would carry a piece of a roll in my Camelback. No thanks to leaves and sand ha ha

There are a few of these threads on here already. What kind of kit you carry, or should carry, really depends on where you plan to be. Some areas require extra ammunition, some extra fuel and water.

On a daily basis I have:

    Small mechanical tool kit
    Recovery strap
    Ratchet straps
    Compressor
    Fire Extinguisher
    Hi-Lift Accessories
    Hi-Lift
    Shovel
    Hatchet
    Folding Bow Saw
    Knife
    Flashlight
    Duct Tape
    Contractor sacks
    Thermal Tarp
    Cordage
    Work gloves
    Rain Suit
    Hat
    First Aid Kit
    Bug Spray
    ....

Severe overkill for the city but it stays in my truck.

When I road trip, I add:

CASH-nothing fixes a problem on the road like cold hard cash
    Dog first aid/food
Appropriate food/water & gear for whatever area I will be traveling through. It's a truck with a camper shell. Stranded becomes an unscheduled camping trip as long as you bring the right gear.

On the floor of the back seat. My 05 double cab doesn't really have underseat storage. LOL. I actually only put it in there when we go on road trips through the mountains or are heading off pavement.

Canadian gun laws are hazy when it comes to actually "storing" a firearm in a vehicle. Due to that, my common-ish sense says it's prudent not to leave a gun unattended in a vehicle long term anyways.
