Get a repair kit and do it yourself. Save time and money. Don't blame the tires. ;)

I've had three this year, only one punctured through and just barely. The other two were short sheet metal screws that pulled right out and didn't leak. It happens.

I've had a Stop N Go tire plugger for years. The thing is awesome. Best way to fix a flat, imho. https://www.stopngo.com/

10, 8, 6, 4....no matter. When a nail is at the right angle, it’s going in.

Don’t feel bad, you are not the first or last. I had one in mine in the first week, and just had it repaired/forgot about it.

Had a bolt go through a my old set of ko2 (e rated) that had a thread width of at least a quarter inch. They were able to plug it. All depends on luck

Get a plug kit for future use. Stupid easy and cheap. Dont even need to remove the wheel or jack it up for a basic screw or nail job, provided you have an air source. I’ve done four over the last few years and the plugs always outlived the tires.

Ply rating is just how much load a tire can handle. Not how many plys the tires actually have (since cotton plys went away years ago).

    Just saying.

This past winter I got a screw in one of my new tires...on the drive home (50mi)...in the sidewall (un-patchable). Had to buy a new tire as warranty does not cover punctures, just defects. :annoyed:

I got a screw in my Tundra the day I drove it home from the dealer! Fortunately the dealer took care of me and replaced the tire for free (no patch!).

Pretty sure they have a bunch of those OEM tires that they took off the trucks they upgrade.

Side note, if you're buying a truck with wheel and tire packages make sure you get the OEM wheels and tires or a price credit for them. It blows my mind that dealerships will put on new wheels and tires, charge double what it would have cost me aftermarket, and give absolutely no credit or the original wheels and tires.. which I am very much paying for in addition to their addons.

Good call wouldn’t have even thought of that but your right they charge you msrp for the wheel and tire upgrade and charge you for the original without even the thought of a reach around. I hate dealerships

Cannot say enough good things about Discount Tire. I've spent plenty of $$$$ with them over the years, their customer service is top notch.

Another reason to go with Discount Tire. Their road hazard warranty covers everything. I had two tires on my wife's (now daughter's) car that had been plugged two or three times each (bad luck and a lot of construction in the area) and they replaced both under the road hazard warranty. All it cost me was the price of a new warranty.

I hate screws in my tires and busted freaking windshields from rocks being thrown from someone’s tires! I’ll bet I’ve repaired 5 windshield and replaced 3 in the last 10 years. I can’t begin to tell you how many screws, nails, rocks that have punctured my tires. About 10 years ago my wife actually had a motorcycle clutch lever ruin her tire.
