My heart goes out to her and her family. Same goes for any of you LEO’s, military and all first responders. Be careful out there. There is a ridiculous amount of hate and disrespect towards you. Keep your heads on a swivel. Thank you all for what you do. Because I know it’s a thankless job at times. Just know there is a lot of us who have your back. I have many friends in all lines of this work and I think about them every day. You chose this line of work because you’re special people. Takes a lot of guts and heart to do would you all do, and it’s not fair how you’re treated by the public. It goes without saying that there’s a bad apple on every tree, but I’m a firm believer that those people are few and far between.

Show respect, get respect, simple as that. On every occasion that I’ve shown an officer respect it was reciprocated. Remember everybody, they are people too. They have families to go home to just like you do. They have feelings, and it doesn’t feel good to have the pubic treating you like shit. They are trained to deal with it but don’t mistake that for a machine or a coldhearted person. That’s just part of the job, which is why law-enforcement comes off as pure business.
An easy-going trusting officer is a dead officer. That’s why they have to treat you like you have a rocket launcher in your pocket. That’s just the way it has to be so that they may go home to their families.

May this officer’s family find peace in their heart, and comfort knowing that their loved one was doing something they loved to do. Contributing to the better good of others lives and serving her community. Again my heart goes out to you. Thank you for letting us have this wonderful person put her life on the line to protect others.

My thoughts and prayers are with her family. Situations like this seem to happen more often now than 30ish years ago.

    Very sad news.

No secret I support the men and women in Blue. This just makes me numb.

RIP brave officer, and hopefully the family finds comfort after the grieving time.
