My wife and I are going to check it out. We're old so I pussed out and made a reservation at the Ft. Tuthill mil lodging facility that's at the site. Comfort camping for us oldsters.

I'm pretty sure I'd rather do the boating thing at Apache. We're headed up to lake Oroville CA for a week of houseboating with my brother in June. Can't freaking wait.

I am flying into Phoenix on May 31 for work. I get in at 6am but do not have to be to the job site until 10:30am (located right by the airport).
Any recommendations on things to do or see in Phoenix? Was thinking of going by @sdhq_offroad since they open at 8am. Any recommended local places for breakfast?

Snooze or Farmhouse in downtown gilbert are the bees-knees for breakfast if you want local.

I have tried to go, cannot get the wife up early enough to beet the line, so we wind up going elsewhere.
I may go to Farmhouse instead since san antonio has a Snooze. Want to go somewhere I cannot go here.
