That's exactly right. Power fold, heated, power adjustment, and turn signals will work. BSM and puddle lights aren't there, the memory feature will not work, and the mirror does not auto dim. You could tap into something to make the marker light work, it's just not plug and play.

Thanks for the info. I actually got my Tundra from Cool Springs Toyota.

Gotta do some research to see what I can tap into to make the marker lights work.

Whew, I had no idea how expensive mirrors could be. Seems like you could just mount some rear facing cameras and put screens on there for that much.

I have an SR5 with no power folding. I would like to get towing mirrors that can do all the functionality as I have currently. I have found OEM but none with the BSM function?

@Roman I have a 2018 SR5 TRD off Road CM. Would the OEM folding tow mirrors work with my truck? Do they fold when you kill the truck or do you have to manually fold?

They will plug up and work if you have the power folding function now. If you do not, you will need to wire that function up. They close from a button on the mirror switch.

Any of you guys with spare Power folding standard (non towing) mirrors hit me up if you are looking to sell. Looking to upgrade my SR5 and I'm capable of the wiring.

    Thanks!

Have you ever sat in the driver seat of a tundra with tow mirrors? Make sure you try them out before you buy if at all possible. I wasn't particularly thrilled with them. Theres actually less mirror. To me, the visibility is way better with the regular mirrors (except the blind spot mirror is nice for backing into parking spaces).

    Just a thought.

Roman I ordered these and when I went to have them installed they said the didn't have folder motors in them? When I push on them they did seem to move fairly easy? Can you help me here?

What's your order number? I'll look them up and confirm. You should have ordered 87940-0C281 and 87910-0C281 for the power folding tow mirrors.

Yep, you ordered the correct ones. Double check the numbers on the boxes sent to you to make sure they match, but those are correct for power folding tow mirrors.

Are you 100% positive the DRL (amber side markers) won’t work on the platinum 2nd gen.? How do you know this?

Edit: they don’t, had to run a wire to the harness to power drl running lights on the side of the mirrors, couple hour job...

Hi Roman, will these (87940-0C281 and 87910-0C281) work for an 08 Sequoia Ltd that has power fold, heated, power adjustment, and turn signals? Thank you in advance.

Where on the harness did you end up running it to?

Maybe? I honestly do not know. I've never had anyone attempt this swap. There are some mirrors that are shared between the Sequoia and the Tundra.

Thanks for the fast response. I reason that it should since PN 879400C203, which is my current drivers mirror is shared with the Tundra.

Are there comparable towing mirrors to the ones listed above that also have auto dimming?

Not that I have seen. I don't believe even the aftermarket tow mirrors have auto dimming as a feature.

Here’s the build thread, it ended up being the only wire missing from the entire harness. https://www.tundras.com/threads/diy...o-oem-toyota-power-folding-tow-mirrors.42865/

Roman, do you know if these are also offered in chrome, and would you be able to find the part numbers?

    Thank you in advance.

Its me again Roman, what is the possibility on my 2019 Pro that when i purchased the OEM power folding tow mirrors and replace the switch with the one with the fold button that it will all works without any special wiring..? Wishful thinking .... and also how how about blinkers ... does that also have to be wired up separately...? Sorry it seems im asking you too much .... Thanks

Roman, Thank you for providing the picture. From a thread on tundratalk.net, a member posted this:

"After doing a bunch of research on the wiring diagram, I was able to put together the wiring for the mirrors and figure out how many pins/wires I’d need to install all of the necessary functions. Here is the layout of the wires for the 2014 DC SR5 (does NOT match 2008 Sequoia LTD):

    Pin 1: Heat +
    Pin 2: Heat –
    Pin 3: Signal – (Running Light -)
    Pin 4: Signal +
Pin 5: Puddle Lamp – (Already wired as common ground, needs rewire to make puddle lamps work)
    Pin 6: Puddle Lamp +
    Pin 7: Mirror Retract (+)
    Pin 8: Mirror Fold (–)
    Pin 9: Running Light +
    Pin 10: Mirror Vert (power)
    Pin 11: Mirror +
    Pin 12: Mirror Horiz (power)
    Pin 13: Auto-Dim –
    Pin 14: Auto-Dim +
Pin 15-18: Memory Pins .. since I don’t have this, I didn’t research the actual pins, just know that these 4 are reserved for that."

My next question is this: Are there power folding tow mirrors that also have the auto-dimming feature?
