500ml will last you a long time. It's cheaper to buy a good spray bottle and mix your own compared to the hydro2 lite, which is premixed. Check Amazon and detailedimage.com for sales. I have mixed it ranging 6:1 to 15:1. Around 10:1 is good. Even 12:1 works well. You only need to use it every few months so a 500ml bottle should last a couple years for one car/truck. And it's so easy and fast. We're talking 15 minutes compared to hours to wax or seal the old fashioned way.

Just thought I'd ask after coming across this forum, after washing mine and since the truck is so damn big, by the time I wipe, I have little water marks on the front glass and front glass only. After I fully wipe down the truck, I have left over outlines of the water spots and have to use a detail compound to get them off. Suggestions on how to not get them in the first place? Just wipe the glass first?

It happens after every wash but I go to the roof and hood first. I wash outdoors closer to sunset, don't really have a place for under cover. I suppose I'll just wipe the glass first next time? I've tried the vinegar mix before but have had limited success. Recommendations on air dryers?

I have the Katzkin too, I use the meguiars leather wipes on them, let it soak a few minutes then wipe with a towel. Works great!

Do you use hydro2 in conjunction with regular wax?

I like to touchless powerwash/foam as much dirt off as possible. I feel like if I don’t do that first, I could be rubbing in swirls and scratches. I use MF cloths to get spotless windows.

I haven’t decided on the best polish/wax, using what I have on hand right now. Any recommendations?

And at some point I clay bar it.

Of the wipes or my leather? I don't have a picture of either, but the wipes are called gold class rich leather cleaner and conditioner. Picked it up at auto zone for about 5 bucks, does a great job and one wipe goes a long way.

I have an obsession... don’t judge, I just like to take car of my cars and make sure my Tundra looks good all year round! If I wasn’t so busy with work I would have a side business of detailing cars. For clay bar I have a synthetic one that’s medium strength from chemical guys and it’s worked wonders on my wife’s car and it’s very easy to use. I use to use turtle wax and got great results, knew about chemical guys but didn’t want to pay a lot for their products but when I got the truck I pulled the trigger and never looked back. What helps is they have a shit load of vids on how to use their products which helps. When I had heard of clay baring (?) your car I heard horror stories and was scared to do it but it ended up being super easy and leaves your paint so smooth. I use to use waxes but I switched to sealants due to the longevity of it and the results. I’ve also used a glaze before and that does make a big difference! Sorry for rambling just my two scents and exp with products..

I started off with this kit:
    https://www.chemicalguys.com/Starter_Car_Care_Kit_7_Items_p/hol124.htm

If you look in the reviews there is a fellow Tundranite in there BlackTundra2016, their trucks looks good!

All you need left is a bucket, wash mitt, and some MF towels/applicator pads. Also you can buy a cheap foam gun off Amazon and use the soaps with it. Again you don’t have to buy the same product but as long as you got an Arsenal of similar products you should be fine.

I hand wash my Grand Marquis. It's the only year they made this color (cypress gold, for the 30th anniversary. There's a hint of green in the right lighting). I know, I know, it's a Grand Marquis. But I love it and I baby it. Low miles, garage kept, hand wash only.

    IMG_5162.jpg
    IMG_5157.jpg

Just noticed I forgot to do the white walls.

I just run the truck through a car wash. Not a crappy gas station one, but there's a really nice one in town I go to. I use the truck for truck things, so it stays dirty a lot. I maintain it properly and keep it clean inside, but I am too lazy to do a bunch of fancy detailing things with it. I think the car wash does a good job:

Really admire all of your detailing skills. Trucks look great!

Touchless car wash. To much time to get out the bucket and hoses. Never touches the truck washes the undercarriage and dries it 2 times cuz it goes and comes back. Love it for $8 bucks. Some tire shine and microfiber clothes to get the rest.

I rinse,20180514_074210.jpg then run wash & wax thru my pressure washer. works pretty good. paste wax once a month. Meguair's endurance tire shine gel seems to be the best I've found so far. None of that seems to really matter because the next day my truck is covered in effin pollen soooo, yeah fml.

All my vehicles get the Optimum No Rinse. They then get Optimum Spray Wax. The tires get Optimum Tire Gel. No reason to buy anything else. You can also use Optimum as a quick detail and interior cleaner.

    https://optimumcarcare.com/product/optimum-no-rinse-wash-shine1

The other thing that is great is I can do all of the cleaning inside the garage.

I have that and have used it. As much as I prefer most Car-Pro products, I think Chemical Guys Honeydew Snowfoam is better in the foam cannon.
