any of you guys travel to Niseko, Japan for some powder ? My buddy just got back and he had a blast: not super technical but pow all day long and nicely spaced trees. I guess they have some kind of micro climate over here where the temp keeps the snow fluffy all the time.

Doesn’t matter to me. Haven’t been out at all this season yet. Some high speed blues would put a huge smile on my face.

I rock an old ass Burton Hate 155 with a rocker camber and Burton Custom bindings. I ride Marmot Basin, Jasper Alberta all season as it’s an hour from my house. Glad to see this thread as I love shreddin and it’s my favourite winter thing to do. :canada: Rocky Mountains!

My buddy just got back from Japan. Was 10m of base and snowed 1.5m in the week he was there! While carving he not only couldn’t see due to the pow but also couldn’t breath it was so deep and fluffy! He says was so perfect it wrecked riding here tho haha

Me in my prime in Breck. One of these shots was a run before I broke both my ankles in freeway. Since then, snowboarding hasn’t been the same... messed around a bit last year but sold my burton process/malavitas over the summer to buy dirt bike parts. Good year to not have a snowboard in CO.....

So, Steamboat is a nice mountain. The Storm chair is nice but Pony was my favorite. Rode almost every run there in the 5 days (in a row) we went. Trees were epic and hella deep, upwards of 3 to 4 feet in wind blown drifts after a good storm that hit the second day we were there, so I spent the rest of the trip finding epic pockets in the trees. Fucking great aside from the concussion I gave myself off kicker and the the reiteration and whip lash off a cliff jump, twas a good noggin rocker. Good time none the less.
