Anybody else see the new generations of their lineups?

They are looking pretty modern and sharp! Think the Lexus side is starting to come out finally.

Gives me tons of hope for the next gen Tundra, as much as I love my truck I would be tempted to trade in if Toyota delivers on the next gen Tundra.

    Toyota rocks! Team MGM!!!!

They can shove their 2.7L up their swampy bum.

    I love the 5.7

I’ll stand by my 5.7! But if they came out with a diesel or a twin turbo V8, watch out. I think for the next gen they keep the engines the same, I just want some upgraded interior and LED all around and price slash and I’m in

I hope they keep the 5.7, but add a turbo and maybe a variable displacement system for better gas mileage, and more power ;-)

It's not bad at all on the current LC.

edit: Maybe the 8sp trans from the LC will finds it way into the Tundra

    Any truth to this????

A 2020 Toyota Tundra has 5.0 ltr V8 turbo diesel power prepare that conveys 300 pull and 500 pound feet torque is the principle power hotspot for this brand. It is said that Cummins will supply the oil burner for the engine. This engine guarantees an abnormal state of unwavering quality and effectiveness. Fuel utilization is expected to be prudent and the execution of the engine will be surprising. Word has it that a lithium-particle battery will be in the pickup truck.

Very Doubtful! Toyota already makes the perfect Turbo Diesel in house that's used in the LC outside of the USA.

edit: 268hp & 479tq with the twin turbo

I'd like to be optimistic about whatever the next generation Tundra will be like, but after what Toyota did to the Tacoma, I'm extremely wary.

    What he said ^^.

Happy I have a big ol' large displacement V8. I think we aren't going to see these types of engines anymore due to the manufacturer's being forced to comply to stricter EPA restrictions. But then again you have stuff like the Hellcat that's still sold so maybe I'm wrong.

Imagine having the hellcat/demon engine in your Tundra! That’d be a scary site!

yeah, but for how much longer? I'm convinced in my lifetime we'll see a requirement to be all electric for new vehicles with a "sin" tax added to fossil fuels

By 2020 you will see a lot more HEV (hybrid electric vehicles) and more after treatment for diesels. From the looks of it , it should happen. I know they talked about where I work we would get this business, if the HEV took off.

I would be surprised if the 5.7 remains in the 4th Gen Tundra. Gonna be interesting

I DO NOT like the new Tacoma. Its wimpy. No power at all. Shifts weird. Looks good, but no performance.

Agree completely. It's a beautiful looking truck, but I had to get rid of her. I guess there is an aftermarket program that alters the shift mapping and the truck behaves and feels more like the previous Gen 2 Tacoma, but I figured what's the point when I can have a big V8?

The whole direct injection crap and just weak feel of the engine killed it for me. You stomp it, it sounds pathetic. Can't get out of it's own way.

6speed m/t Taco was pretty peppy with the new 3.5, but it doesn't hold anything to the 5.7.

The gearing in the auto trans REALLY limits the engine. Takes forever to wind up. I haven't driven a 6 speed new Taco yet.

Very much want! If I ever get rich I'm doing a conversion to this drivetrain and interior on a 2nd gen crewmax with a 6.5' bed.
