I don't have the money right now to drop on both headers and the exhaust. Is it possible to install the JBA long tube headers with the stock exhaust system until I can get the Dirty Deeds 8" system?

Yep, you'll gain the most from headers anyways. Plus it's the tougher of the two installs so you might as well do headers first so the exhaust is just a simple bolt on.

Makes me want them now. They were very noticeable on my taco. Group buy anyone?

You don’t want to do that. It will sound like shit. Also, you have to replace your stock mid pipes because the headers come farther back then the stock manifolds and is also a larger diameter. Get your bam system first, then get the headers and midpipes at the same time. Keith can also weld your stock cats into custom mids and also he has loaner straight pipes to loan you while he does it. That’s exactly what I did to my truck. And it will be LOUD without the cats and with the 8” system. It will sound like a machine gun cruising down the road. But don’t worry, once you get the cats back in it sounds AMAZING! Here’s a video of my truck. @dirtydeeds https://youtu.be/lnuD5b_e_z4

I believe you will just need to make sure you have a set of mid pipes that will allow you to connect the headers to your cat back. Not sure if JBA makes mid pipes for our trucks. I think a lot of JBA guys have Keith make them a set of mid pipes. I just did American Racing long tubes. The American Racing headers come with mid pipes (with or without cats), but they are a lot more expensive.

Jba makes Tundra mid pipes but it will not sound good without cats and with the 8” system or the stock exhaust. Been there...done that....

Thank you, thats what I was looking for. Thanks for the info. I don't know how cost effective it would be to ship my cat to Keith. I'm in Atlanta.

You could have a local shop do the same thing. The headers come with the JBA specific changes that you would need to have the mids made. Or you can buy jba mids and have them cut them up to put the cats in...probably not the most cost effective solution though....

I'll add that long tube headers also sound pretty rough with cats but no mufflers.

If you install headers don't you need dual exhaust exit?

You don't NEED it, but you're probably leaving some performance on the table if you don't go dual, 3" tubing, X or H pipe, and flow through mufflers.
