I actually found a REALLY bright Bushnell tactical LED flashlight under the hood of a used Tacoma a few weeks ago. Usb rechargeable. Insanely bright.

If you got that for $8, you got a screaming deal. I have one.......awesome light. At that price I would have bought 4 and just had them everywhere.

I use a dive light made by a company called Big Blue. Rechargeable, compact, 1200 lumens, variable focus beam. Great for spotting deer, walking at night, or a night dive!

I keep my streamlight strion handy near the door to the backyard

When I moved in, a stupid ugly yellow phone jack was there, which I removed and put a blank plate on with velcro to mount the charge base...the excess wire is hidden behind the plate so no dangling wire

SureFire G2X Pro. Has low/high feature, but mainly, it's a SureFire. I have a few SureFire WML's and although pricey, they take a beating and keep shining.

Has anyone ever used the Fenix warranty? I have a torch from them that doesn't charge, stopped a few weeks after i bought it and this thread just reminded me of it.

I bought a $230 Fenix off e bay new. The flashlight arrived on time but did not work at all. I contacted the seller and he said to send it back to him and he would credit my card. 6 weeks later the card hadn’t been credited. One more e mail and my card was finally credited.

    Using Chinese LEDs and parts

All SureFire illumination products are designed, perfected, and manufactured in the USA with the finest materials and components sourced worldwide.

My guess, Maglite is the same. Almost all LEDs are coming from overseas these days

That said, Fenix has been my go to light for years.

It's not a good option for camping, in the woods, being outdoors, around water, on a hike, around gravel roads etc

I'd rather use a dedicated Flashlight that can withstand some abuse and not worry about grabbing it with dirty hands or dropping it.

A phone is good in some situations but not many for me.

Tragically, this is true. [I think some of the LEDs are coming from Germany though.]

Very few products are 100% American made anymore. [I even hate saying that.]

That said, I try to buy products assembled in America with a majority of American parts, whenever possible.

I have a 2015 4runner Trail Edition: 100% made in Japan; of course, they are our ally because we dropped about 30 Kilotons of explosives on their ass.

That's why I love those stickers the Texas boys here have that say 'Made in Texas'.

Dad told me that we could buy foreign products, if they are assembled HERE in the greatest country in the history of the world.

But, yes, I concede your general point.:hattip:

@TundraDude18 if you think it's difficult to find something 100% USA made and course, trying finding something Canadian.
