I recently bought a 2006 Tundra limited double cab 4wd. I want to be able to go offroad but have it as a daily driver. This my first truck so I’m new to the world of customization of trucks. As it sits right now it has:
    K&N air intake
    Raceline 17” wheels
    Dick Cepek Mud country 265/70R17

    Future upgrades:
The first upgrades sre going to be suspension and tires. Right now, when I go over 45 the steering wheel wont stop shaking and the tire are loud. I’m thinking of putting A/T tires. From what I have read the BF Goodridge KO2 are good.
The lift I have in mind is the bilstein:
    https://bilsteinlifts.com/shop/toyo...0-2-rear-lift-shocks-00-06-toyota-tundra-4wd/

I’m debating whether to restore the healights and tint them or buy a set of blackout ones. I’m going to tint the taillights and the 3rd brake light. I also want to replace all the light with LEDs.

I going to powder coat the bullbar matte black and replace the light with a light bar.

I also want to add and exhaust system that is not to loud but will make some noise when you floor it.

I am all ears on advice and ideas for any mods.

Thanks. I have been looking at those build threads for a coupleof days now. There are awesome some builds. Im also debating to level the truck or do a whole lift with bigger tires. I don’t know how much that would affect my mpg.

Flowmaster 40 series muffler. Single in/out. I have it. It's great. Doesn't drone terribly cruising, loud enough to let you know it's there, but in no way obnoxious.

Is that a full kit or just the muffler? How will it affect performance?

Just a muffler. Couldn't really tell a difference in performance except it sounds a lot better. I kept all stock piping. Looks factory, sounds nice.

I have been looking at the Banks Monster exhaust system. I like the price of it. Does anyone have one on their truck?

    Update:
So far I bought new headlights and swapped every light for LEDs. I just need to order a resistor for the headlights since the fog lights don’t work now. Read a couple of threads And I think that should fix the problem.I also change the tints since the old ones didn’t look good.

Recently I order a bilstein suspension to lift the truck. I want to know if I will have any problems running KO2 285/70r17 with just the 2” lift?

It has been a while since I have posted any updates. So this the truck as it sits right now.

    IMG_4408.jpg
    Mods so far:

-Front Suspension: Bilstein 6112 at the highest point.
-Rear Suspension: Bilstein 5100 with 2" Blocks
    -Bakflip tonneau cover
    -Tire: KO2 285/70/17
-Pionner MVH 1400-NEX with Crux Interfacing Solutions Module
    -Back Up Camera
    -Raptor Lined the bed

I had to remove the mud flaps since I was rubbing on the passenger side when turning the wheel.

Before replacing the radio I had to fix the dash panel. It had some parts broken off where the radio sit. I used some JB weld for plastics and filled the parts that were missing and then sanded it. I still need to paint all the wooden trim black. IMG_4378.jpg IMG_4376.jpg IMG_4375.jpg IMG_4381.jpg

For the reverse camera I wanted to install it in the tailgate handle but the wasn't a surface were the camera would have a view of the rear bumper. So I decided to make a small flat surface on the handle with some lexan and the same JB weld. Then a few coats of black paint and it almost look OEM haha.
    IMG_4467.jpg IMG_4502.jpg

The bed was in great shape after removing the plastic cover. I had to remove the bed since the truck didn't fit in the garage and the weather here in Puerto Rico changes very quick and it could not get wet for a couple of days.
    IMG_4431.jpg IMG_4433.jpg
It doesn't look great on the picture but I came out great. Very easy to use product, worst part is the prep.

I still have a few projects that I want to do.
    -Light Bar in the bumper.
I am looking at the Element LED light bars. Anyone have any experience with them?

I also want to add some rock sliders but I have gone to couple of places here in Puerto Rico and the quotes are insane. One guy quote me $2400 for the pair. I looking at freight companies to try to get the Brute Force Fab sliders shipped to me but it looks like I'm not going to have sliders on my rig. I also wanted to get the Brute Force bumpers but same deal shipping it too expensive.

Right now I have to replace the Cam bolts since they are seized and it can't be aligned. I ordered the Moog cam bolts that have grease fittings and some new LCA OEM bushings.
