I am really enjoying my 2017 Crewmax TRD Pro (Cement) so I pre-ordered a 2019 TRD Pro from the local dealer. They don’t sell over MSRP, so I don’t have to worry about pricing.

Estimated release is this Fall? I started modding my Tundra, but may just stop in case I trade it in...so I can swap one of the parts (bed cover, side steps, small items). I’ll sell the brand new factory LED headlights I got since the new one will have them.

    Was pricing announced?

My dealer said that it is not possible to order a TRD Pro for 2019? Each dealer gets what they send them? Maybe I need to contact some other dealers? Did you get to pick your color? Peace. D

With a copy of your drivers license, they will reserve a spot for you. Currently, I’m #1 on the dealer list.

I’m going to pick Voodoo Blue. Traditionally, the special colors retain the most resale.

Again, just reserving my spot in line.

Depending on anticipated release date, I may install them for a while and take them out before trading it in.

1st on my dealer's list for a 2019 Tundra Pro with an assurance that it won't be above MSRP. Salesman said he doesn't know what mix of 2019 Pros they will be getting in but I'll have the 1st pick/refusal on the Tundra(s).

So name is on the list to change out our Tundra and 4Runner Pro's for a 19 year model of each.
Due to the limited cap we receive in Canada, I won't know until July if I'll be lucky enough to get my hands on either.

We're gonna go team Super White for both.
The waiting is going to suck, wish me luck gents and ladies!

Only thing worth getting on the new ones are the sunroof and lights and maybe the fox suspension. But you get stuck with the nannies and that hideous hood scoop. Personally don't think its worth it.

I would like to see some support for this theory. I’m pretty sure that the opposite is true. The odd colors are harder to sell because less people want them and they stay on the dealer lots longer.
There’s nothing wrong with wanting a “special” color, but a lot more people want the Super White.

    Interesting...

I would personally never buy a yellow, green, or orange car except for maybe certain sports cars..
I dislike white. and maybe would by red... depending on shade.

Blue (depending on shade), Grey, Silver would be my top pics for color... but I'm usually not in line with what critics say...

Unfortunately I found nothing regarding truck color specifically, just cars. And just like you mentioned, the yellow and orange, are skewed because of certain classic sports cars! I’d say go with a color cause you like it but don’t expect it to help your truck hold value. Maybe it will, maybe it won’t!

    Bone stock.
Sounds like what I've experienced. I think most of the west coast is like this so maybe the east coast is different.

When I tried to buy a 2017 Halo (white) GT86 in 2016, my broker had to trade a dealer a Tundra to get another vehicle to get my 86 from a 3rd dealer. Everyone I talked to regarding the exp with Toyota on the west coast said dealers get random vehicles and they end up swapping them for more popular vehicles around several states.

    OK, I'll ask... Why?

You already have a TRD Pro that's less then 2 years old so what's the point in trading it in for a new one? Seems like a huge waste of time and money to me but maybe I'm missing something here?

With the crazy resale value, the math on a brand new truck with the newest color, technology and features is actually pretty good. For instance, if my TRD Pro truck hovers around it's purchase price in resale value, and I decide to trade it in after one year of ownership, I'll have like $6k in equity to roll into a new truck, can avoid virtually all the sales tax (at least in CO), and I can have a brand new truck for a smaller monthly payment or shorter term than I had before. If I'm buying the car outright, I can essentially drive it for the cost of gas and insurance, as the buyout is essentially equal to my initial investment except for sales tax.

Obviously, the smart financial move (for some) is to pay it off and drive it forever, but for those of who don't mind having a car payment, it's pretty easy to buy a new truck every 12-18 months and not lose a penny, so long as the original purchase was made well. This doesn't work with a majority of other truck brands, as they depreciate MUCH harder than Toyota vehicles do.

I've purchased 8 new Toyota trucks in the past 8 years, and have never paid a penny of negative equity or lost money on any of them. Hell, I MADE money on my '16 TRD Pro Tundra, that deal was nuts.
