    Hello,
I'm recently retired from the military and am a day away from completing my first 6 month contracting job. I've been looking at Tundras the entire time overseas and one of my coworkers turned me on to this site. Pretty amazing place with plenty of knowledge being kicked around here. I did find my Tundra and hopefully if I can overcome jetlag, will be headed up to Maryland on Thursday to pick up this baby and spend some of this deployment money. The first thought was to do a lift but I think a supercharger will take priority since they're a hot commodity and nearly impossible to find. I'll be moving back to Colorado in May so that's when the lift will probably happen. Glad to be a part of this site!

Welcome from CO! Whar area are you looking at in CO?
Regarding the S/C, you'll have to do Magunson with aftermarket programming as Toyota does not do the TRD flashes for 2016+ models

My family lives in the Springs. I was stationed there for almost 20 years. The civilian job market forced me to move by myself to Virginia but the company has a position back in the Springs which I jumped on. Thanks for the heads up on the aftermarket programming. This is my first Tundra so I'll have a bunch to figure out.

Changed my mind on the S/C. This 5.7 has a ridiculous amount of power (which I wasn't expecting) so I think some of the money set aside for the S/C will go to a lift when I get back to Colorado.

First thank you. Second welcome. That there truck is a great palette to start with. Pretty much the first mod most of us do is lift + tires. Check out a bunch of the "build" threads herein', and you'll get lots of ideas. Looking forward to reading yours.

So I decided not to wait on the lift. Went with a 4.5 BDS lift. The tires are Nitto Terras (34x11.5x20) and Fuel Vapor wheels. High Tech Auto in Chantilly did the work and I'm loving it right now.
