Will be used as an Overland vehicle for back country fly fishing trips across the West Coast.

First addition was a Leitner rack and roto pax. Drove up to Leitner Designs up the road in Orange County, installed in less than 3 hours.

Now ready for the Rooftop tent.....

Debated on which tent to go with and decided on a a Freespirit Recreation High Country 80" that can sleep 5.

Shipped to local fedex freight yard. Picked up solo not appreciating how big the box would be!IMG_3160[1].jpg IMG_3161[1].jpg

Made it home safe, called over a friend and installed the 160 lb. tent on the rack. Girls were so excited we tried it out the first night with urban camping in the front yard. Waiting for the HOA letter.....IMG_3167[1].jpg IMG_3168[1].jpg

Tried it out over Spring break next to our Somerset offroad camper and it worked fantastic. Big hit with the kids, slept 6 ten-year olds with no problems.

This week added a Readylift 2” TRD PRO lift with 35x12.5x18 BFG Mud Terrains on Method Roost 18x9 wheels

Also picked up some safety orange MaxTrax’s in preparation for a trip to Overland Expo in two weeks.

    Looks great man!
How much trimming was involved with the lift?
How’s your initial impression on the lift?? I’ve looked, and looked for reviews and there’s just not much out there on it. It really makes it look great though!

Initial impression is great, the truck feels good. Have some issues getting the skid plate back on, will work on that this afternoon. Do have some small rubbing up front (only in reverse at full turn). Good news is that it looks minimal and only on the front, not on the body mount. Will bring it back to ORW tomorrow to work on the rubbing. Rims are 18x9 with +18 offset.

Liking the look of the Freespirit RTT’s more and more, they look like a quality product. How much does yours hang over the cab and the tailgate?

It was a tough decision to go with the 80' over the 56' but wanted to have the option to sleep all 5 of us up top. Most times the whole family goes we have our Somerset E3 trailer but not always.

The RTT hangs about 2' over the cab but with plenty of space in case of any flex offroad between cab and bed.

It hangs off the back just about even with the rear bumper. No issues except that i have to be aware of tree branches that may not be visible while backing up.

Nice. That rack is tall enough to where I think you could even run the RTT forward enough to attach it to a roof rack if needed, though from a flex standpoint that may not be the best idea. It’d also be nice if you had one of the hard shell tents that needed to hang over the cab.

Fixed the rubbing on both sides by unscrewing the plastic fender liner and drilling a new hole about 1/2' back. IMG_3319[1].jpg IMG_3323[1].jpgIMG_3325[1].jpg

    Carlsbad state beach?

Was thinking about those same wheels for my pro, was it an option to get silver or black center caps or do they only come in silver do you know?

    Yes, Carlsbad St Beach!

Funny timing, sitting at soccer practice and there is a Ford Raptor next to me with Method Roost’s with Black center caps in back and aluminum up front. Owner hasn’t come back yet to ask if he painted them or they are orderable. I have looked and don’t believe they are orderable. 3CCADA14-379E-4326-B363-A1F4FC30CEF3.jpg

Love that beach. Grew up in c-bad right next to Carlsbad high.

Like the black center caps more than the aluminum. You think they would be hard to paint?

I spoke to the Raptor owner and he said he ordered them and is waiting on two more for the front. Worth a call to Method. He did say they were discontinuing the Roosts but I had no issue ordering mine last week from ORW. I don't think they would hard to paint.

Took her to Flagstaff for Overland Expo 2018, great trip besides the two hour wait to park and anoth 30 mins for them to scan my pre-paid ticket!! Camped in Oak Creek at Pine Flat and ran Broken Arrow before heading home today. Video of Devil’s Staircase on the Broken Arrow trail in Sedona, no damage beyond scraping the tow hitch, saw a Tacoma lose his rear bumper and his buddy filming laughing at him as he cried
