i am looking at one of these covers.
    Lomax vs. Extang 2.0.

Does anyone know if both of these covers work with the bed rail?

It looks like the Lomax is easy to remove. Is the Extang easy to remove?

Any advantage for one over the other?

None yet but plenty to come.
You will like the opening style better with the lomax i think. The handles on the 2.0 can be bulky and annoying. To me those are huge factors and the lomax is much more low profile.

I have the Extang but got a sick deal on a new in the box unit. I just researched the Lomax and if I was buying one now at retail it looks a lot nicer with its lower profile. The Extang works with the rail and is not too hard to take on and off.

I just ordered the Lomax and you choose rail or no rail. Hope to get it setup this weekend.

I have the Lomax its pretty sleek. Do I have any reservations or would I have done something different? Actually when you flip the Lomax all the way to the back panel the little legs covered with vinyl scratch the cover. I am now putting a towel or something soft if I have to lift it all the way back. Didn't help when I traded my last truck that dealer scratched (another story) they also removed the Lomax and they are primarily responsible for the scratches on the cover. I wonder if the backflip with the combo fiberglass aluminum would not scratch as easy. I hope this helps. I do like the Lomax.

    Good luck!
