Any other pilots around? I'm VP of a Flight Services Company that does manned and unmanned flight services. We also own a local Tucson based flight school. I'm just a Private Pilot but currently working on my instrument rating.

    Now some GA eye candy:

Our SR20 - love this plane. Took the picture before heading out of Reno for Vegas :)

Our former Diamond DA40 - just sold this plane last week :(

Our T182T - love this plane too... a joy to fly while burning ridiculous amounts of fuel... lol

SA Bulldog - friend's plane... blast to fly

    Our Mooney M20C

I grew up around airports. Flew gliders for years and also built/restored a bunch of planes. Currently having more fun then ever doing some bush flying in Ak.

Took flying lessons while in high school. Came close to my VFR license but then off to college and it had to take the back seat. One day I'll finish it.

One of the most enjoyable flights is in the spring when we fly down the Alaskan Penninsula to our Brown Bear camp. We fly right on the beach the entire way looking for dead walruses. We land on the beach and pull or cut out the tusks. We spend about a month in a small cabin on HooDoo lake hunting Brown bears, fishing, beach combing and surviving some brutal weather.
If you have 30 minutes of your life you don't mind never getting back, here's a video I put together a few years ago on one of our trips.

never been a pilot but I did get the joy of flying an H3 sea King and also some stick time on the mighty MH-53E Sea Dragon "To fly is heavenly but to hover is Devine". I've worked on all sorts of engines from the F414 to the T-56. Give me the old Turbo props anyway over a damn Turbofan.

I'm not a pilot and I'm actually staying at a Holiday Inn in CO Springs tonite. I like the Mooney M20. Bush planes are way cool. No offense, but most of the bush pilots I met in AK weren't entirely sane. I hope all bush pilots take this as a complement.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I'm in the same "boat" as you. Marine Corps aviation PMEL calibration(a long time ago, F-4s, A-4s, C-130s, C-117s,helos primarily ) and still somewhat involved with aviation. Calibration of DME, Tacan, Tcas, VOR/ILS, NAV/COM, Mode S, Leak testers, etc, and related GPETE, TDME test equipment.

My Dad was an airforce mechanic/pilot for the Norwegian military. Since he wore glasses he wasn't allowed to be a combat pilot (no laser surgery at the time) but he did fly some experimental aircraft for R&D. Thinking on it now, he's probably lucky he survived all that.

Nice. Good to hear other aviation enthusiasts on board! Guess its in my family, my big brother's an aviation mechanic and I'm a pilot. Now instead of wedgies and gut punches, I get heckled...

Delmarva - you guys have the new ATP program set up? Need to get my multi and ATP.

It's a cargo net in the picture but that is at our fire base. Did a lot of bucket work last summer. I live in Utah but in Wyoming during summer for fire and at the moment in Oregon covering an open EMS position. I'll be helping to open a new EMS base in Colorado in April/May before going back to fire.

Ha, sore subject but we decided that the return for picking up another multi (our Baron was a lease back and the owner owes us 13k - he no pay and the airplane isn't airworthy) wasn't worth it in this market. :(

Curious as to why chopper controls are on the right? For cyclic control with right hand and left hand for the collective? What if I'm a lefty??
