Thanks,it all worked out in the end. I put the pool under the 2’ cantilever of the deck and put two big barn doors in to access it. Ended up backfilling the other side of the pool. Now just need to finish the arbor at the top of the stairs to the left of the stone wall. You can see the the upright posts in the picture.

Help please. SO i have this diving fence with the neighbors but theirs always dirt coming from their house over to our patio. Im wanting to pour some concrete under the fence to prevent it from happening. What would be my best bet? I dont have a picture at the moment but i did a little drawing. Just not to sure how to get the concrete to stay.

You will need to build some forms out of wood to pour the concrete into them. Hold then in place with some wooden stakes driven into the ground OUTSIDE of the wooden form. After it sets up just pop the wood forms off and remove the stakes.

The concrete walkway is tight up to the iron fence posts? You can just rest the forms on the concrete I'm sure it would be fine.
How tall is the opening? Have you thought about using stacked stones? Or even plexiglass screwed onto your side of the frame or wood? Or even some kind of rubber skirt?

Yes and probably the opening is about couple inches if that. I jist figured a couple bags of concrete would do the trick. I thought about wedging some wood in there but then its going to rot out.

Concrete will work. You could use found rated pressure treated wood and try to match the color of the fence panels with stain. I'd look into some kind of rubber skirt, maybe something used for garage door seals

With only a couple of inches you could use some mounded gravel to stop the dirt .

Not really a renovation, but I did build this coffee table for the living room. Over the last couple weekends.8F6E2668-9AE9-4131-BDA5-D116B187734E.jpgE3942055-055C-4DF1-B259-8734FF35D82D.jpg 48BE8603-269F-4AEF-9A12-04B6A77FC50D.jpg

1/2 Bath renovation. It was supposed to be just a wall paper removal and vanity replacement. Found a few issues.

    1. 2 sets of tile over linoleum...
    2. Toilet had been leaking from the wax seal for a while and all the tiles were loose around the toilet.

This was a 3 weekend project. Ended up re-tiling the floor into the shower and the tiles on the wall sides around the floor, texturing and painting the walls. Added towel cabinet sourced from a hobby store and modified, shelf and built a medicine cabinet. Still need to make or find a nautical themed mirror and its done. Even the new puppy got involved.

I've had it for a while now, but haven't quite got into it yet. Do you still use it? I've got a couple of living wall projects as well as a shed that I'm planning on building this next year and was planning on designing them in SketchUp.

Where do I start. I guess I'll do them in the order that I did them...

The Mrs is my driving force behind all my projects. I like being happy. So the conversation kinda went like this.... Hun, I want to get a new washer and dryer. I said "ok". But I want front load washer and dryer and get rid of the old top loads. So pulled out the old machines and guess what? The new dont fit in the spot where the old top load was.039.jpg I had to move a wall 4" to get the new ones in035.jpgpulled up the carpet, some paint and a bamboo floor041.jpg started fri night 044.jpg finished sun afternoon.. happy wife, happy life!

I put up a fence, retainer wall, light, basketball goal, sod, and had concrete poured for my boys to get outside and play ball in the backyard since the driveway is not ideal for a basketball goal. I have to finish the landscape behind wall. 2405287A-B2A9-41E9-B27F-622CDD2FE929.jpg

The den. Started off as a coral colored walls and sea foam green carpet. I don't know what they were thinking in the 70's. Replaced sheetrock and installed a ceiling fan and paint. Put down a floating floor. Not to shabby I think.20170702_174235.jpg 20170727_212706.jpg 20170729_210610.jpg 20170729_210559.jpg
