Hey guys I've been a tacoma owner for awhile but our family is expanding and a baby seat doesn't fit in the backseat so well so I'm looking at an 08 tundra 5.7. Just wanted to know your thoughts about what y'all thought.

Looks good! I'm more a fan of the CrewMax as opposed to the DoubleCab. Still a great truck. I just bought an '07 for the first time a month ago and love it.

I found '07 CrewMax Limited with 85,xxx miles and the 5.7L also. It's the real deal.

Good luck and keep us updated!

Looks good to me. Little more mileage than average driver per year but not extreme. Price looks good. Not sure what the blue book is though. A lot of chrome, not my taste but can alway hide or replace items easily.
Crewmax has a lot more room if your planning bigger family or kid(s) and dogs.
SR5 doesn't have a bunch of fancy features but maybe your ok with that. Can always upgrade components or add mods as you go.

I have this same truck in the 2007 model and mine only has 57,000 miles on it so the miles seem pretty high to me but maybe not extreme. Mine is stock and this one looks to have a small lift kit on it and lower profile tires which will negatively affect your mileage.
I love the truck but my biggest complaint is the fuel mileage and small gas tank. If Toyota would figure this out I would probably never look at another brand.

2008 Tundra is 6 years 2.5 months old if purchased in Jan 08.
Assume that this was a male driver 35-54 then the mileage would be around 114,719.5.
This truck is at 95,730 so according to the data above I would say its good.

Rule of thumb i remember is 12k per year which is about what I do. In this case it is over but I don't drive much highway or long distances.

I'm with CSU on the mileage part. I try to estimate 12-15k...but also take into fact it's a truck and is probably used more for numerous things...
Hell, I take my Tundra anytime I can with the fam...not a fan of the wife's Jeep :D

I appreciate the input guys and keep it coming but I'm still looking around as well to see if I can find something with lower miles. I know the gas mileage wouldn't be near as good as my tacoma but it's a v8 there's only so much you can do and I only have to drive like 4-5 miles to work so it wouldn't be to bad. Thanks again but keep the input coming.

All out of input on this one.
Just advise; check it out before you buy. Make sure it runs good, sounds good, drives straight and isn't leaking. If it meets this you will have an awesome truck regardless of year or trim level.

Damn! I'm in the 35-54 age group and I'm lucky to put 5000 miles on my truck per year. My Tundra is 6 months old and I have around 1800 miles on it. I guess missing the bus on the wife/kids thing helped my annual mileage a bit. I did put a lot of miles on my old trucks before I settled down, though. I used to drive from the east coast to Montana multiple times a year. I'd have to drive a hybrid to make the kind of miles in those stats work!
