Thinking about doing mine. I’d love to see some pics, especially if anyone else has tinted windows with the darker grey paint.

I’m concerned it’s going to look too modern... thoughts?

Rear is considered limo’d due to tint on top of factory tint. Front windows have the same tint although no factory tint. Fronts are dark just not quite as dark as the rear windows. I love them dark, just makes it a little difficult at night when backing up.

I usually do factory match on the fronts but didn’t touch these fronts(around 35%) as the dealer already had it tinted. I added 50% to the full windshield. I had 35% on the full windshield on my previous trucks.

You from Alabama? Only place I have seen tint on front windshields. When I was travelling there they did not have safety inspections. In most states that I know of they limit windshield to a band at the top.

No sir. I’m in Texas and previously in Illinois. The full windshield is not legal(knock on wood, I’ve never had an issue).

I don’t either. Her face just made me laugh. Sorry I think Dan was just being a dick LOL.

I think you should definitely get your truck tinted. It will look good don’t worry about it. It’s not like you tinting a classic pick up.

Yeah I mean I assumed the joke was on me which is fine. Wasn’t sure if there was some other context.

Thanks for the input. I’m leaning towards it. You’re right it’s only a 15 year old truck

Don’t take it personal, all the guys here like to fool around. I’ve done it on all my vehicles old or new, it helps a lot in the summer down here.

I have tinted windows as well and I love have them. I had them installed professionally on the front windows as the rear was done in factory. I a post in the things you have done to your tundra since I cannot find my pics currently on my PC. I will not have a vehicle without tint.

I'm getting my front windows tinted soon. My truck is Pantom Grey Pearl. Rear windows are factory tint and it looks great against the dark grey.

We just tinted one of our other vehicles using Suntek CIR film which has ceramic embedded in the product. It cost twice what a traditional dyed tint install would cost, but the amount of heat the CIR film blocks is huge. We run the A/C less and the car is significantly cooler when entering on hot afternoons.

For the cross-eyed poster/joker above, Suntek CIR has a clear film (no tint) that blocks the same heat as the dark limo tinted film. No need to hide those crosseyes behind limo tint anymore! Technology has come a long way from the bubbling purple turning stuff that just darkened the inside.
