Do you own a square foot of Scottish land? I tried this after watching 2strokestuffing on youtube. Can't say I'm a huge fan of it after drinking bourbon, definitely a different taste. I don't think I've had another whisky that has such a strong smell before when you open it up.

Just finished off one of these tonight... it was a good one, though I won't be restocking it since they jacked up prices from ~$25 to $40

    Nose: molasses/brown sugar, ethanol
Palate: LOTS of apple, oak, leather, caramel, brown sugar

I've been drinking this quite a bit lately - it's inexpensive, really oakey, and to me goes down smooth. My wife hates it (that's ok, she's kind of a secret alchy and this means more for me).

I've had the Jefferson and Stagg too - both really good. They don't sell the Jefferson in my state, I got a few bottles in Louisville last time I was there though.. I need to get more next time I'm out!

I bought a few new ones this week for a Kentucky Derby Bourbon Party we’re hosting.

Blanton’s Single Barrel Bourbon is very hard to find in Texas and very sought after for Kentucky Derby drinks. I’m curious how this is going to taste. I’ve been told it’s only $55 in California.

Blanton’s for $55...if you can find it on the shelf. To my knowledge, sales have been limited to retail stores and focusing on restaurants and taverns.

Yup, hints of spice, honey and with a nail polish note. I had it with a cube but I prefer it neat.

$100 for Blantons is rough, you can order SFTB online for that much and it's light years better than regular Blantons

I know I paid over the normal price. My wife had a non-profit Kentucky Derby event and that boubon has special meaning to her. There is a waiting list for Blantons here. I can sell that bottle for more than what I paid. After I bought it she was super excited and told me to keep it for my collection of bourbons. So I guess it all worked out. Winning! Lol

Not a big fan of Larceny although commonly served. It may be good for others, but not for me. I remember it to be a little sharp on the finish. I basically gave the bottle away after a couple drinks.
