The "dame" was a pull but, you're Olde Hollywood Establishment yourself, so I knew you'd know.

Well first of all you haven’t made a decision yet so if you’re going to use the word deny, it shouldn’t be in the past tense. It should read, “Should I deny the wedding invitation?”

Second, you can’t “lost keeping in touch”. It’s probably better just to say, “from my friend whom I lost touch with.” Or if you really want to shift the blame to her, which it sounds like you were trying to do, you can say, “from my friend, who stopped keeping in touch.”

Third, “many year” is also wrong. The word many implies more than one year, therefore should be “years”. And since you’re describing when she stopped contact and not a quantity of how long, you should add an “ago” at the end.

So... let’s try this again, with proper grammar.
