Just bought new. It has factory 18" wheels. I love the look of the Rock Warriors, but they are 17" Any issues with brake clearances? I don't have a lift nor do I want to lift the truck.
What tire size would be recommended for a wheel/tire combo like this.
    Thanks all in advance

TC long travel. Deaver 420 SU leaf packs.
The RW wheels will work on the '18. Not sure what tire size w/o at least leveling it.

Icon six speed looks pretty similar to the RW wheel (if you’re still looking to purchase) as the RW’s are pretty rare and fetch quite a price for them.

Slightly more offset (or less depending on how you look at it- the wheel sticks out more) than the RWs too.

But lots of folks put 17” wheels on 3rd gen + tundras and have no issues clearing brakes.

I love the rock warrior wheels because they’re the lightest but I hate that they’re discontinued, icon alloys are lug-centric which is a big deal to me but not to others. The other light but affordable wheels(18”) are FN BFD wheels which I’m sure I’m gonna buy with some 35” tires

I have some rock warrior wheels waiting to go on my pro, the stock tire size that Toyota used to put on them is 285/70, thats about a 33in, and will clear everything easily.

I tried that all of the pics of the complete trucks are pics of 2nd gen trucks. I would like to see the wheel inside the 3rd gen wheel well.

The weight really doesn't mean anything unless you're wheeling with heavy loads in your truck. Compared to methods or icons its a couple to a few pounds per wheel... not exactly game changing.

To be perfectly honest I'm not sure why so many guys driving street queens have hard-ons for RWs other than they're a little hard to find and they feel special with them on their trucks. Guys like me who have long travel and have an extra 2" per side like the offset so our trucks aren't super wide on tight trails. If I was driving stock width suspension I'd want like +25 like Icon offers.

True but I prefer performance over looks, it maybe a minute difference in weight but it’s hubcentric. I know there are guys that have been running lug centric wheels off-road and did just fine but it’s one problem I can check off. Just like the wheel size debate for off-road, I personally want a 17” wheel but I know some that have ran 35’s on a 20” wheel off-road and prefer that and would argue back and forth wheel size doesn’t matter. There’s more advantages of a smaller wheel for off-road so I’m choosing that. I like the RW wheels because they’re light and it’s a 17”, plus people are selling them cheap now.

You get first offer, if it doesn’t fall through then I’m 2nd. It’s amazing how adults take care of stuff, I just wish some kids can see what we just did there, heck some adults need to be taught that. It’s just fair

First of all, nobody is selling them cheap because so many guys want them for reasons unclear to me other than maybe they're made by toyota and a little hard to find so they're "cool." Secondly, toyota does still sell them my buddy just bought 2 sets brand new for his new rig; but like all OEM products they're a ripoff purchased new. Thirdly the guys I wheel with, guaranteed, run their trucks harder than most guys will and have for years and has never had a single issue running wheels that aren't hub centric. And fourth, once again, unless your seriously worried about weight and have tons of other gear your loading on trips the few pounds of other wheels will literally not make bit of difference performance or otherwise. I'm seriously considering selling my RWs and going with some KMC machetes or something just because I'm getting so annoyed with how overvalued and hard to find they are now because dudes with street queens or who hit the occasional fire road here and there need to have them. I might sell them to some idiot willing to pay a ton for them so he looks cool at the next parking lot meetup
