Really it just looks worse than it was. @Spolar pulled me a little and I was able to turn and go downhill

New hardware going in ADS bumps to match the extended travel Triple Bypasses and SOA Deaver Springs from @M C M
    Check them out in Sedona
I will have a write-up on how they do after I get some dirt time and before I go SUA and 3.0 bypasses all under the bed without any cutting.

Hey guys, following along at home, I put that u748 on my list. When you get some time, please report out on why you don't like it. Thanks!

Pretty simple... it supposed to handle 400-700lbs and it doesn't. Mine flattened out after 2 trips. If you don't carry a lot of weight you'll probably be fine with them. But running a bed rack, rtt, fuel, spares, tools, water, food, wood etc etc etc it didn't perform as advertised.

You also haven't called Jeff at Deaver and told him about it so he could have a chance to make it right.

Don't listen to @Spolar , there is something wrong with his pack and Jeff would be happy to fix it if he knew about it.

@n2deep doesn't like the pack because he wants an actual progressive pack. The U packs are designed for carrying various loads, not for bombing the desert. Thats what the K37 packs are for. Different goals for different products.

Okay. But I thought K37 can't handle heavy weight? :notsure:

Regular K37 is a progressive spring pack. It will ride cadillac smooth but it's designed for no wight in the bed. However, if you call deaver, they can make you a K37 pack that will be designed for higher axle weights and it will still be a soft progressive pack. But the key is to understand the limitations. For example, if your axle weight is 3000 lbs and you have a custom K37 packs designed for that weight, it will be soft and maintain proper ride height at that weight. If you load another 500 lbs in the bed, it will sag so much it will be useless. If you take 500 lbs out of the bed, it will get bouncy. The comfortable weight range for K37 is plus or minus 200-300 lbs.

The U packs are designed to maintain ride height with a broader weight range. But in order to do that, you sacrifice the soft progressive ride characteristics.

Yea but the U pack didn't keep my ride height either. But you're right I'm sure Deaver will do something about it. I have Tuesday off and will be swinging by and update what he says.

The u748 pack holds the weight and gives the ride height while putting the shock piston in a good spot but with 600 lbs it was still too stiff and feels bouncy. My k37 pack with 400lbs of preload added did really well. But they started sagging bad and weren't doing the job so decided to go SUA. Only to find out I had broken a main leaf. They are getting rebuilt with a new main leaf. My problem is my bed weight varies by 500-600lbs so I am in the process of figuring out ways to cut my weight to make it more static and not swing as much when loaded and unloaded.

A little of this and a little of that. Its pretty run of the mill.
I have a Deaver pack that handles weight pretty well. You can buy it when you buy my ADS. Hahaha.

Anybody interested in wheeling Big Bear June 14-17th??? Send me a PM

You'll need 4wd, good tires (and spares), and dispersed camping gear. Your truck might get scratched too depending on your driving. We'll be doing rattlesnake canyon, easy part of john bull, gold mountain, white mountain, and a few in-betweens.

I wish I hadn't broken the truck before @n2deep got to sedona. I wanted to take him for a ride. Only @osidepunker and @papasmurf got to ride in the Stock Spring Express.

Smooth and fast over the small to medium stuff, but I didn't even get to try the bigger hits in the Cinders. I imagine that's where we'd start to fall off the pace. The mid sized whoops would be no problem, but the 2 foot plus high ones would probably suck.

No way Kevin, you would drop to 5 mph on the 3' whoops. It was either 5 mph or 65 mph for me

But I was definitely surprised at how well it works.

    and thanks! :D

Bahahaha!! I totally forgot you did drive it with the busted steering rack.

@osidepunker 's media dumps are the best dumps. Staring down that slow driver in the sombrero was on point. If I hadn't been so hung over, I probably would have laughed hard enough to pee in your passenger seat.
