    What I noticed in this month is that the side with the new harness turn off immediately with switch, Motocontrol still delayed by a few seconds or milliseconds, I know this happened before wit passenger side when Motocontrol is used but now is opposite side

    Already have a motocontrol installed because of my HIDs so I'll just stick with the old one. :) my biggest dilemma is buy sport headlights now or wait to see if the trd pro has blacked out headlights.

    Ordered the headlights today from my dealer. They will be here tomorrow morning. He did me a favor and matched the cheapest price I could find online.

    The irony. I live 40 miles from Whiteman AFB. The Home of the B-2. I was a draftsman in a former life and got to look at the blueprints for their hangars, complete with the B-2 drawn in. Cool stuff!

    I decided to cut and put female ends on grey wire and male ends on both the original grey wire and new black wire if I ever put old headlights back in. Thanks to @B737 for the idea.

    Good to know I’m not alone. :) I decided to run an add-a-circuit for the switched 12v too.

    Got everything working. I’ll button it back up tonight.

    @iHacker,

    I got everything installed but I wanted to confirm my results are what is expected.

    2017 Factory: I could turn off all lights by turning the light switch to off
    2018 Harness: No option to turn off lights (unless the parking brake is applied BEFORE turning on truck) DTL are on regardless if the light switch is in the OFF or Parking Lights mode.

    2017 Factory: I could have my factory fog lights on with DRL on with the parking light switch set to ON.
    2918 Harness: Factory fog lights only turn on when headlights are turned on. Fog lights do not turn on if the light switch is in the OFF, or Parking lights. Fog lights only turn on when headlights are activated.

    Is this the expected behavior? I remember hearing that the new DTL couldn't be turned off by the light switch as standard functionality on 2018 trucks, but I'm surprised to hear my fog lights now only work when the main headlights are on. Does it make sense that even though I have the fog light switch always set to the ON position, they only turn on when the headlights are on?

    Well, the 2018 LED DRL can’t be turned off at all times, unless you have parking brake ON before turning your truck ON this is the same as old Amber DRL nothing changed there

    And regarding the fogs, seems like you have the anytime fogs mod, I can’t talk too much about functionality alongside the DRL, I never tried this personally so I’m not sure what’s the exact behavior after installing the new headlights, but I guess this will be affected because of the gray wire removed to deactivate Amber DRL, I think the anytime fogs does something with that wire


    Probably a more experienced user with this mod can chime in about this.
