Welcome from Arizona. Appreciate the honesty on the suspension.

Did you measure the lean before putting the Icons on? It seems a bit excessive. I would set the driver’s side to the 1.25” threads and lower the passenger side a bit and probably live with about a 1/2” lean.

I haven't noticed any issues with the leafs nor heard any weird sounds coming from there. I'll have to get the GoPro out and take some video to see what kind of movement there is back there.

I'm with Joon and would lower your driver and passenger side fronts. At least put the driver's side to max preload and adjust the passenger to account for the lean. I've adjusted mine like 3 times to get it where I like. It wasn't till I threw the chase rack in the bed and put the spare on the passenger side where it looks like it's level.

Right on. Thank you guys for the replies and the input. I'm definitely planning on lowering the drivers side - probably just a bit under max preload and getting side to side as close as possible for the time being.
Adrian also mentioned looking into different springs if I'm going to be adding weight to the front end in the future.
If I went with different springs, is a higher spring rate ever used on just one side? i.e. Drivers side?
Would a Coachbuilder shim be an option to get some threads back?

I may have heard that they are working on springs with a higher rate (700 lbs I think). Not sure about mixing springs though. I wouldn't recommend putting a shim or spacer on these and would just live with the lean.

Awesome. I also just heard that @sdhq_offroad might have some springs in the works too? Mid summer?
Thanks for the advice on the shim. Last resort, but exploring options.

    Thank you!

Thanks man! Been a little frustrating but I think the light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter and I can’t wait to get everything dialed in and go have some fun with this thing!

We do have them on order with PAC springs as a custom made spring. Unfortunately it is a 4 month build time and we are about 2- 2.5 months in. If anybody wants to put a deposit on sets, I have a feeling that these will go fast off the shelf.

Also, keep in mind that the newer trucks have the 38 gallon tanks and the older trucks have the 28. Suspension has be to accommodated for both and I am pretty sure all this was designed pre-38 gallon tank.

That sounds great! Thank you for the info! What will the spec/price be for these new springs?
Are you referring to the Icon 3.0 system or the custom springs with the 28 gallon tank?

Not sure yet on pricing but I am hoping for somewhere between the $120-160 range each.

Referring to the Icon 3.0 system for the springs and the lean just in general.

The reception is great. So far, no difference that I can tell from factory.

Just wondering if there was a fix for the shock making contact with the brake caliper bolt? I’m getting ready to install my shocks and would like to get it taken care of ahead of time if I can.

There is a fix, yes. I spoke with @Icon_Adrian to get it sorted out. The process from what I understand is to re-clock the manifold so the bypass tubes are facing more forward than towards the wheel. Although it's been a couple month process for me at this point, Icon is standing behind their product and making things right.

Thank you! Definitely gets from point A to point B!

    Thanks @Mountains49

@Hermel I can help you out. We keep internal documentation regarding batches and build dates. Your shocks way already be the latest revision. If you'd like to give me a call I can go over the details.

What’s up everyone! Been a busy last few months and figured I could update a few things.

Got my re-clocked rear shocks back from Icon and installed and all is good! I had thought they would turn them forwards but ended up with them more towards the rear. Resi hose doesn’t have much slack but it’s not tight either.

The clanking noise I had in the rear turned out to be the leaf springs - now lubed and clank free!

I had wanted to reduce the driver side preload on my coil over (more on that earlier in this thread) but then ran into my factory bumper plastic (already trimmed a bit) at about 2/3 turn so I left it alone for now. Higher rate springs are on order from sdhq and plans for a front bumper should be sooner than later. Torn between a few options.

Got a couple more things to the truck done (roof wrapped and bed lights) and a few more in the works (esp storage box and dynamat extreme).

    Few quick pictures.

Looks good! I’m getting some clanking/creaking from the rear end after installing the RXT suspension too. What was done to the leaf springs to quiet them down?

The shop that I had all of the work done at said that the leafs were very dry so they spread them and applied a decent amount of lubricant - not sure what kind but it wasn’t a dry lubricant - saw plenty squeezed out the sides.

Going on about 2 months since then and all is good. No clanks or noise.

Hope you get it all sorted out!
