Joining the group to keep up with the issues on the new Tundras. Purchased a 2018 Tundra Crewmax 4x4 Limited in Nov 2017; having issues with the "low fuel warning light" immediately after installing a leveling kit.

Hello - I'm new to the site - I don't do social media, period! This is my first.

Bought a 2018 Tundra Crewmax 4x4 Limited in November 2017; installed a leveling kit (2.5") and Toyo Tires in February 2018. The Low Fuel Warning Light quit functioning near immediately. Brought it back to the dealer for normal service and to have them check into the problem. They can't figure it out - started a case with Toyota Engineering.

Anyone else experience this issue ?

Welcome from CO. His truck is white; so it's going so fast that the fuel moves all the way to the back of the tank causing the glitch. Newton's third law of motion and all :burnrubber:

    You guys are hilarious!

The gas gauge is working fine. I typically run the tank down to within 10-20 miles of empty (per the dash computer). I'm still doing the same before topping off the tank. Don't see anything unusual happening there. Everything was fine until I put the leveling kit on and then the warning light stopped working. Not sure what one has to do with other - I can't make a correlation there in my simple mind.

Update: The dealership called yesterday to say "we may just change the gas tank. Engineering is still working on the problem".

    No additional issues with truck

    Nice!
I received another call from the Toyota dealer later yesterday.

Get this BS - Per the dealer service rep (Fort Bend Toyota in Houston): New for the 2018 Tundra's, after 4 fill ups, your low gas warning light won't come on until the "miles to go" hits "0" and at that point you will still have 3.2 gallons of gas in the tank. Well.... I already tested that theory.... and its BS. When my "miles to go" hits "0", the gauge is on the "E", and the light does NOT come on. I've requested to talk directly to Toyota Engineering... we'll see if that happens.
