For anyone that purchased a set of JBA upper control arms that have developed rusty ball joint housings, JBA has developed new bj's that are Cerakoted. They look awesome and should hold up much better. They will exchange your old bj's for the new ones. See the photo for directions. Top notch customer service.

Damnit. I just installed a set of these. Mine aren't rusty so I wonder if I can get in on the recall or have to wait for rust.

Someone commented on the facebook post that they are in that same boat. JBA replied on the post that they had sent them an email. So, I'd say go ahead and give them a shout about the exchange.

I just responded to their Facebook post asking if mine can be replaced. Thanks for posting this.

They refunded me within a few hours of the rusty joints being delivered back to them. Great service.

I installed jba UCA's on my 2004 4Runner - finally decided to set correct caster after over 15 years of driving with 4 deg off with no issues.
When I got the UCA's, I noticed that the boots are not tight on the bolts and there is an aluminum bushing between the knuckle and the boot. I called jab and asked about this unconventional "solution", and they assured me that everything was fine and as intended. I assumed that for that kind of money, they would do it right. WRONG!
In less than a year, the ball joints have failed (yes, I lubed living hell out of them every time I did an oil change) because the boot was loose, and water/sand got inside and ruined the joint. It was not an accident - it was a case of lousy design and/or implementation.
Needless to say, their warranty doesn't cover ball joints...
I was told that chevy silverado joints have the same configuration without jba's defect. As much as I hate putting anything chevy on my Toyota, I have no choice.

Message marlin, I am more than sure he will take care of you. I ruined a set of ball joints by over torquing them a while back, when I asked if he knew the best way to remove the stripped nut he offered to send me a new set no questions asked knowing my problem was self inflicted. He even paid for free 2 day air for me. Jba is top notch as far as customer service goes
