sorry, just saw this. No I did not remove the headlight. It was a PITA tho. I was too lazy. I have bolt on fender flares I didnt want to take off. You can do it without taking em out but I would recommend just removing them if you have time

has anybody experienced moisture/ condensation in their lightbar? I've had it installed for maybe 2 months and there's already moisture inside?!?! Kinda at a loss for words for a lightbar thats almost 1k. I've already contacted the cust. service and warrant dept. Surely hope they have some answers. I live in Northern California and its rained a little bit, but nothing that would warrant condensation in a product that supposedly rock solid.

Hey guys so I have the NSV bar and I’m excited to install, but I’m confused on the wiring. I have a 2017 Platinum, but I have the 2018 headlights installed via a harness I got from EledobleU. Do I still need the jumper wire? Or do I just need to switch two pins on the NSV wiring?

    Thanks for any help!!

Longer list than the wife needs to know about....
swap the pins like you did on the headlight / wire harness.
Just need them to line up don't forget to do both sides of NSV harnesses (I made that mistake and only did one).
I have the jumper wire, that tells the bar when to dim the marker lights.
let me know if you run into trouble, I could try to take some photos of my setup if you need.
There is already a bunch on info in this thread and 1UPPER and gregfocker have done a couple good write ups too

    Thanks Matt!

I read through those threads and tackled the install last night. The bar is awesome! I do have a problem though, for some reason the yellow running light on the driver side headlight is illuminated. It’s never been lit up before, as I have the ‘18 DRL’s. Any ideas? The only other problem is I can’t get the NSV DRL’s to turn off, which is what I thought the 2nd gen was supposed to do? I push the strobe switch to turn off DRL and nothing happens, except the switch lights up.

My 12 pin plug didn’t have a #3 pin but it had a #8. I think it was focker who mentioned that Jensen told him to just leave 3 empty and put the #8 pin in the 8 slot...so that’s what I did. Is that the issue?

The drl part of nsv can only be turned off when headlights are off, they stay on when headlights are on. As for the turn signals I had same issue so I got the switch backs from trs and I jumpered the drivers side just like the passenger side. So light is white when headlight are on not orange.

I got the jumper wire for passenger side from ihacker. You have to pin it in the middle empty slot of the turn signal plug and ttap it to purple wire on the light leveling switch.

    THANKS, FOCKER!

LoL. That’s just fun to say.
Ok, I’ll contact hacker and jump the passenger wire. I don’t mind the orange light, just want it to be balanced.

Would this have anything to do with my NSV DRL’s not dimming with the headlights? And I’ll check again, but I tried turning off the NSV DRL while headlights were off, with no change.

you need to de pin a wire going into the headlight. the factory connector doesn't have it but the nsv does. this is because the non platinum/ 1794s don't use the turn signal as marker lights. the jumper wire is to allow the nsv to properly dim with your factory drl. check your wire harness going into the headlight and check your jumper wire connecton.
I pulled the battery to make it easier to get to.

I played around some more, if I switch to “off” on the headlight switch then I can retain the 2018 LED DRL’s and switch off the NSV running lights, so I guess it just doesn’t work when set to the parking lights setting, which is what I run 90% of the time so that my dash gauges are illuminated.

Ok I depinned the middle wire and taped it off, took care of the amber light. I’m afraid something’s up with my jumper wire though, the NSV DRL’s don’t seem to dim at all when the headlights are on.

probably something to do with your jumper wire. it should dim when your market lights dim/ turn on your interior lights.

If you guys wanna kill the nsv drl's just put the red/blk you t-tapped at the trailer harness on a toggle switch, that will kill the drl's and you can turn back on whenever.

On my V2 bar I noticed that all instructions said no pin 8 but on mine it was no pin 3. I suspect if you re pin 8 to 3the strobe function may come back? I haven’t had a chance to test it, but it is still my list of things to do.

I can confirm if you take pin 8 and put in pin 3 hole on the 2nd gen NSV light bar, you will have the strobe feature back. It will disable the DRLs on the lightbar (only for DRLs, the end lights still come on in dim mode when headlights are on), it also gives you a nice extra feature... If you flip your headlight switch to the off position and hit the lightbar button switch for the NSV you get the lightbar on full by it'self without having to kick on your brights. I don't know if this shortens the life of the bar or causes other issues. I am running it on a '17 1794 with the 2018 LED headlights and have had no issues. Do this at your own risk.

I have a 2018 and I just installed mine today what a cluster. I connected to the trailer brake and I am getting the trailer brake error and the only thing that works are the drl's on the nsv. None of the buttons do anything....

Don’t mean to insult you but it doesn’t sound like you got the correct two wires that connect behind the brake. if the buttons don’t work then you aren’t getting the power from the trailer brakes like you are supposed to be. At least that is what it sounds like
