I can't say for sure, I've never actually put my hands on the straight bar, but as long as you can still get the bolts in, anything is possible. You just have to remember with the straight bar either the ends will stick out or the middle will sit in. Rago makes brackets to mount a 30" completely behind the bumper grille.

I made the brackets... honestly id have preferred another 30 RC bar... it really puts out a lot more light. the RC light seems to throw light further. the rago light disperses in a wider pattern but is not near as bright. both are very good quality.

Help me out here.....just so I'm understanding you correctly. In order to mount the RC curved 30in bar you also have to order a separate set of mounting brackets? Are their not brackets that come with the curved bar? I'm looking at going this route also. Thanks

The bar comes with universal brackets, you will either need to buy the vehicle specific mounts or build your own. If you use the straight bar, the brackets work as is, but if you use the curved bar, you will have to modify the brackets.

I'm taking the family to the Great Smoky Mountains this fall and so I went ahead and ordered this light to help out at night on those back roads. I was dead set on positioning the light bar behind the plastic grill to avoid trimming but now I'm wondering if that will significantly impede the performance. @RW-3 Any input is appreciated.

    Thank you!:hattip:

I really like the light bar and love having it hidden behind the bumper. I was having some squeaking issues when it rained but I figured out I had the bracket sitting too high and it was rubbing against another metal piece. I loosened the bracket pulled it 1/4” down and no more noise!!

For those of you that wired the RC light to a rocker switch, do you have a write up? Maybe some pics?

What switch is that? Link? Did you just clip of the original switch, strip wires, connect to 3rd party switch?

This forum continues to cost me money. I ordered the light bar and then the rago fab mounts mentioned in this thread so you do not have to trim the bumper.
