does anyone have their stock height ride height measurement from their 3rd gen crewmax they can share? I need center of hub to bottom of fender. If you have a lift kit, feel free to share It here too.. but please center of hub to fender only. this removes tires in the equation.

Here is the compilation of members that have contributed. Keep them coming and I will continue to update this spreadsheet.

How to properly measure Center of Hub to Fender
this is an accurate way to measure ride height without tires/air affecting the equation

    1. Get values for A & B.
    2. B=wheel diameter ÷ 2 (my 18" wheel actually has a 19.5" diameter)
    3. A=bottom of wheel lip to Fender
    Example :
    B : 19.5" ÷ 2 = 9.75"
    A : 34.5"
    34.5"(A) - 9.75"(B) = 24.75"(center hub to fender)

    For those visual people

Do you feel like the boss 2.5s came set lower than your old lift? Mine were bit lower too when they came.

The Radflo's 2.5 I believe are preset at 2" of lift. I didnt even try it on the preset height. We cranked it up already before first putting the truck on the floor. And I still feel Im not at 3" ride height. I don't know if I want to crank them anymore. It feels like the ride is getting firmer and firmer the more I crank them.

Bluebottle, I may have mis-quoted originally, or maybe you transposed the deminsions when building the table. The correct before lift Front Right should be 22.25 not 23.00. And the before lift, Rear Left should be 23.00 not 22.25.

May need to add a truck description attribute to the table such as: truck age or perhaps mileage at time of lift mod. For example, my “before” lift measures were on a 35k mi frame. Since the day I drove it off the lot, it’s utility and payload capacity was tested, eg, hauling firewood, sand, shingles, lumber, etc. Point being, my before lift baseline I measurements were probably different than when it was new. Just saying.

For anyone that has contributed and want to share a profile pic of their truck, I will add it to the OP. It could help people trying to figure out what that particular lift looks like.

Stock then LRO and now have the Toytec/Eibach Pro coilovers that i haven't measured, but is basically the same as the LRO. All measurements were full tank of gas, and no one in truck.

    Stock Picture:

After 3-1 LRO Lift (and like I said above, basically the same with the eibachs)

Hi all! I decided to put a Rough Country leveling kit on my 2013 Tundra, but the front end looks higher just with the naked eye. I have the 2” spacer with 2 - 0.25” shims installed on top of the strut assembly. I took some measurements and the front end is 0.25” higher, hub to fender. However, fender to ground/tire were equal all around (weird).

My question is, if I remove one 0.25” shim, will this be a true 0.25” drop in the front, making it level?

Removing a 1/4” shim will drop you 1/2” of height.

I had the same stance issue - or visually it seemed after 6” lift. Seems rear leaf springs settled over time prior to lift due to heavy loads, trailering, etc. After much research regarding options to get the rake I wanted, eg shackles ext, different leaf packs, etc., I opted to install airbags w/cradles. Looks great and solves my handling issues when trailering toys.

Just had my '18 done and Bottle pointed me to this great thread - Toytec Radflo, Toytec Shackles top setting, diff drop, carrier bearing kit, SCS 18 25 offset rims/Toyo AT2 295/70/18s and JBA UCAs. Had to do cab chop mount but unclear if its because of the alignment guy not adjusting for the high caster JBAs (or rather me asking him to, he aligned with the stock tires on) and unadjusted Radflos with < 3" of height.

My front hub measurements [A-B] (with no adjustment as received) after install are 24.75 passenger and 24.25 Driver from stock 22/22.5 or ~ 2.25" lift. Alignment: Caster 3/3.4, camber, .3/0, toe +.15/.15

I'm going to readjust and align after a few hundred miles to get to 3"

Air bags installed. Surprised how easy this was to. Added 10 psi to the bags to increase rear bed height 3/4”. Took it for off road spin and hauled boat for for testing - couldn’t be happier with the decision. Killed2 birds (towing & rake) with one stone. Now I have the rake I was looking for loaded and unloaded. Ride is also much better when towing.

For sure! More is better than less!

Sweet. I want airbags too but I read they limit articulation. Is that true? Is the ride on the street better with them?

They do limit articulation. And can tear when you're tires go full droop. You'll want to get a set of airbag cradles, which allow only one point of fastening on the bags so you can go full droop. Daystar makes cradles.
I had them on my tacoma, were nice for when I added weight or towed. Ride was slightly rougher because they always need some air in them, 5psi I think. I used a bike pump to add air, very easy and quick, only took a few pumps to adjust them to the load I had in the truck
