To be honest, Rock warrior wheels are badass and very desired. Mine are not all black but black and machined TRD wheels.18”.4A65FB84-B087-4DCF-9841-BD836635A3A2.jpgnot perfect with normal wear and tear. One scratch from my boat trailer. Stupid mistake. I actually really like my wheels because like you I like TRD stuff.

The reason I like the 17 inch rim is you get more side wall which is better for off roading.

Oh I was meaning the highlighted part, saying how you hate using non-TRD parts. Just thought that’s interesting.

But you aren’t wrong on the rim options, I think the only companies off the top of my head that make 17’s for Tundras are Method, ICON, and KMC. Hell if FN BFD’s came in 17’s with the same offset/backspacing I’d be running 35x12.5x17’s right now.

I would prefer to stick with TRD but I’m not hell bent on that. The more I’m learning about this monster the more I want to do to it. The most important thing for me is to have it handle well and stick but still look like it does and not lose any height. I enjoy the legs driving by all the time..lol

if you are going up in size (18"), make sure the offset is correct so you don't rub too much.
as far as 17" vs 18" for sidewalls: for 35"s tires, the 17" has only 6% more sidewall. Most of us won't notice the difference imo

Well, today was the day. I finally got the leveling kit, wheels, and tires installed. I’m extremely happy with the new look and it completely changes the appearance of the truck. A lot more aggressive stance now. I obviously haven’t put a ton of miles on the Ridge Grapplers yet, but so far there is hardly any difference in road noise from the stock tires. Very pleased with my latest mod.

Love it, excellent choice. Don’t be mad if I copy your tires and rims...

Haha, thanks! I wouldn’t be mad at all if you wanted to copy the setup. I pieced together the idea by browsing various threads here so feel free to do the same. It’s a great looking setup.

Still running stock for now. No interference and my brother had no problems getting the truck aligned after the work was all done.

Ah, my bad. I thought you were referring to my recent post. I’m not 100% sure, maybe the OP can chime in regarding the UCAs on his truck. They look aftermarket but I’m not that familiar with UCAs to be certain.

17s have larger size selection. Wish I had 17s sometimes.Offroading rule of thumb...ideally..tire diameter should not be less than twice the rim diameter. With 18s then ideally 36s. Not a big deal but makes for interesting trimming....
