How much over? I run like 40-46 and never get a light.

Wondering if I would get a light on some high E rated tire with like 70psi. Lol.

I’m not sure what my current PSI is. I’d have to go find out

Yes get a simple air pressure gauge. And if you get non OEM tires get the same or higher load index

285/65r18 K02's. Run them at 46. No sensor light on. They seem to ride just fine at this pressure.

I took the air down to about 40 psi. Light still on... drove about 7-10miles, still on.

    What should I do next?

I don't think the light comes on because of more pressure. You say you just got some pro wheels? did u use ur sensors from ur old rims? where they steel? if they were steel rims that might be the problem. its a different sensor

Yeah it’s not the psi. I run 40-46 and no issues.

Yes I had the steel rims on before. So I need different tpms sensors?

if I'm not mistaken. I have heard for some ppl they work for some they don't. Double check tho but I'm pretty sure that's why ur light is on

That makes sense though. I know for sure the shop swapped sensors from the steel wheels to the pros ...

It’s weird because on @Roman website it looks like the same sensor is used all tundra models.

The TPMS on the steel wheels are different from the aluminum wheels. Type A is for aluminum, and type B is for steel:

I run 30/33 psi on 35 inch KO'2. The only thing I care about is cushy soft comfort...

I have ridge grapplers, and run what "feels" good. In my case its what the door jamb says. They were 50 psi when I left the tire installer and was rough...285/70/18.

When I first got Trail Grappler, my local shop people had it inflated to 65 psi. I did not get the TPMS light at that pressure.

Yes and no. I learned that steel wheels and the alloys have different tpms. So, I need to buy the correct system.

For those referencing the door jam sticker those numbers are for the tires you got with the truck...more than likely P rated tires. When you upgrade to E's the sticker on your door means nothing at that point.

I've been searching for info as mine came with the Michelin P275's and when i switch to E's as i do pull a 4500lb boat a fair amount i want to find what psi i should be running while towing and while not towing on an E rated tire. I suppose i will contact the tire manufacturer once i decide which ones to get as there is a lot of different answers out there.

And also hello to all as this is my first post!!

Welcome Festo! I think most get that about the door psi, which is why everyone else runs 40's and up...for me that just so happens to be what makes my truck ride soft and handle well the way I want . I'd do 25 if my tpms wasnt on:)

Should be less if anything because it’s lighter in the back.

I emailed Toyo about proper PSI for at2, I told them what truck I had and what size tire I plan to go with (LT285/65/18). They asked what came on the truck and what the door jam says to run. After giving them that info they responded 36 front 39 rear. Once I get a set I'll start there and then do the chalk line test to see if it needs tweaking. I did fail to mention that I often pull my bass boat which is ~3,500#, prior to getting the tires I'll probably relay that info and see if their answer changes.

I’ve been running 42-46 psi all around with my BFG ATs for years. They seem to wear good and the ride is fine
