    Toyos are pretty awesome. I had nitto trail grapplers on my Tacoma and were way louder :thumbsup:

    Still liking the MTs? How are they wearing? How many miles on them? I'm thinking seriously of buying a set... Not sure I want to go to the 295/70r18s and these look great on your PRO.

    I haven’t noticed any loss in power, MPG has been pretty good as well. I couldn’t be happier. I did just swap my wheels(rims) to aftermarket, and the stock pros rims were way quieter than the methods I’m running now :annoyed:

    The 285/70 is the happy medium between the 275 and the 295. The 285 is also a lot lighter than the 295. My Ridge Grapplers are 59 pounds. Also, the 285 is very close in size......33.9 compared to 34.2.

    I rub a little bit on one corner in reverse. It’s a really slight rub so it doesn’t bother me too much. the caster on one side is off and would solve that issue but I need to find a better alignment shop. I did play with the plastic liner also. I’m hoping to do a BMC sometime in the future. Just Incase I go bigger on my next set of wheels. Ive got a buddy that’s a service manager at Toyota and he got a BMC done on his truck and he told me Toyota doesn’t look at that stuff and it wouldn’t affect any warranties.

    What would one expect to pay for a set of 285/70r18 toyo tires? I’m guessing much more than 275 because they are relatively rare...

    i did pay more because of the lack of availability and I went with MTs. I do love the size. It’s less of a hit on MPG, much lighter and looks a little better than stock. I’m debating on going bigger because we all want 35s lol

    haha count me in the group that has no desire for 35’s.

    Besides the mpg and performance hit, I just don’t like the look when the tires get too stuffed in the wheel well, or the stick way out and your truck looks bow-legged.

    I’ll stick with the 33” range myself!

    Thanks for the insight - been thinking of the 285 as an option as well... now just to wear out my current Toyos

    @Marty McFly

    How have these tires held up? I'm on the 285/70r18 train and damn it options are limited.

    I definitely don't need mud tires, but the Ridge Grapplers are so expensive I'm starting to consider Toyo and BFG mud tires... haha

    So far I have very little complaints. They have worn pretty well. I’m going on almost 50K miles and I’m half way through the tread life. The tundra is my DD and I’ve gone off roading a handful of times. The only thing I can complain about is it’s a bit loud on the hwy but that could be just because they are MTs. So far so good. I’m considering the ridge grapplers as my next set. But I haven’t done too much research yet. I’m not at that point yet :fistbump:

    Jeepers. 50k and they’re only half way done? My wife’s CRV needs tires every 50k.

    MTs are pretty knobby. They have been wearing pretty slow. Most weekend driving is in the wife’s Camry so that might help also. If it’s anything not off road or camping we’re using the gas saver. Even with the whole stay at home situation, the days I need to go to the office I’ve been using my wife’s car lol

    This is exactly what I am debating. 285 seems like the absolute sweet spot. I think the 295 is just a little much, and don’t want to “cut “ my brand new truck!
