2018 Tundra parts thread

@Roman I was wondering about the 2018 gauges. I see that they are different and have a larger screen than the 2014-17s do you have a price on that unit and any idea if it’s plug and play? Thanks

 

They haven't released prices on them, but I am almost certain that they are not plug and play. Also, they have to come from the manufacturer with the mileage programmed into it, and they require a VIN to order the correct one.

 

Thanks for the info. I haven’t yet seen the gauges in person but I have seen pictures and I thought they looked better than my current ones. But if it’s to much of a hassle I’m not gonna bother.

 

@Roman Any word on the hoodscoops? I saw a pic of a 2018 TRD Pro and it had the same scoop and it looked like it was on the same hood as any 14-18.

@Roman do you have 2018 grill colored metallic gray already? how much? thank you.. and bulge?

 

I got an order in with Roman for a 2018 MGM grille and bulge. Bulge is not a problem but the grille is on backorder and he told me he has no idea when they will get them in. He told me he has tried to order the grille almost everyday and Toyota keeps canceling his order saying it is not available yet. I'm hoping it is very soon though.

I don't know if you're able to answer this, or if someone else can comment, but I wanted to know if using the stock grille on the 2018 Tundra Limited Crewmax, what part(s) do I need to remove chrome from front end?
I assume good scoop is one major component but there must be another part(s) for both sides of grille and bottom piece as well.

You would need the hood bulge and another grille. You would then take the surround from the painted grille and swap it onto the Limited insert you have now, if you are wanting to keep that portion of the Limited grille.

Hello All. Just joined the forum after lurking around for a while. Been a Tacoma owner since 2006. Making the jump to Tundra this spring as I need room for a growing family (thought for sure 2 car seats would fit easily in a Tacoma DC).

This picture right here has pretty much made up my mind on whether I should get a Limited or a Platinum. The Limited gets me everything I want (sunroof, leather, heated seats), but sooooo much chrome! I love the look of the body color-matched grill surround and bulge with honeycomb grill, but it's almost too much body color and I don't like the wheels as much. Looking at this pic, I think it's the way the truck should have come out of the factory IMHO. Keeping the chrome/black bumper and adding the color-keyed grill surround and bulge with the honeycomb grill just balances the whole front end.

After seeing this post yesterday, I decided to do some quick renderings of how a 2018 CM Limited would look with the Sport/Platinum grill and body-color surround in Barcelona Red. I also tried it with the Limited grill, but I think it looks better with honeycomb.

I picked up a 2018 limited grille on craigslist and it was missing the emblem and plastic access cover. I ended up buying 75301-60020 and had a tough time fitting it. Ended up having to dremel it just a bit for it to clip correctly. Did you have to do the same? The access cover is indeed 53113-0C010.

 

@Roman Is there a honeycomb grill and bulge with cement surround? I'm looking to de-chrome my limited.
