Looks deep, if you can catch your fingernail on it good then its deep and would need to be painted. Thats a pretty high hit? Check with shopping mall to see if they have security cams.

You still might be able to buff it enough to make it less noticeable. A few years ago my wife's previous Avalon was hit in a parking lot and the photos she sent me looked pretty bad. When she got home, I got out some light compound and just started working the area and it turned out it wasn't nearly as bad as we initially thought.

The Tundrs are pretty wide so i look for a safe parking spot more often now.

When my wife's 4runner was <1000 miles I was driving it along I-80, a semi hauling gravel entered the freeway just in front of me. Despite me having moved over to the left lane to allow him to merge I got sprayed with gravel. Windshield, hood, roof.. All needed repainted. Fortunately my insurance covered it and my deductible is only $50. I felt horrible calling my wife to tell her.

I just noticed this last week. I dont know when, where, or how all I know is I didn't hit anything. I always park in safe areas I think this was from the boat ramp parking lot I was at weekend before last.

Boat ramps are famous for damage and A-holes just rolling out. GL, hope it’s an easy repair.
