Just bought 2018 tundra trd double cab. Speck sheets on tundra call out pay loads from 1550 to 1660 pounds. When I loaded up the truck with fiber glass topper and survey equipment approx 700 pounds total truck rear is sagging a lot. When I look at the sticker on truck door it says max load with passengers is only 1320 pounds. Looked at several other trucks on the lot and the same 1320 pounds max called out.

It's a 3/4 ton truck, so 1500 lbs minus one passenger at 180 lbs is 1320 remaining for gear. Sounds about right and the same as any other 1500 truck.

    We have 3 F-150 trucks also. 2010 states 1560lbs, 2014 states 1490lbs, 2016 states 2050lbs.

Had the same load in the older f-150's and saw no sagging like I am seeing in the tundra. Looking at the rear leaf springs and they look like an slight S shape. Concerned with this for the longevity of the truck. Dealship wants to send me to an susension shop to get fixed. Not impressed.

Anytime I have put a topper or other permanent fixture over 500lbs on a truck, I have taken it down to my local suspension shop and had an appropriate leaf added. Puts the height and ride back to stock. If I am going to have varying loads, I will go with auto-leveling air bags.

In the spec sheets, this is for a bare, no options truck. When people start adding plastic bed liners, step bars, interior options...etc, the limit goes down quickly.
