I have developed a low end miss around 2200 rpms it goes away anyways it just started about two weeks ago and I think it is a bad coil or at least I think bUT I got my code reader out and now it is towing p0420 catalyst system operating below efficiency or something like that and p0300 random misfire now my questioN could that catalyst code come as a result of the engine missing??

It would have to have a very noticeable miss. I’ve never seen a random misfire develop a 420 code. If you have a misfire for too long, dumping raw fuel into the cat, that’s what ruins them and you’ll get a 420 code. Hope that helps

It has not been to long I think a week or two tops and the miss is only at lower rpms like 2200 and down but in the last few days it has started to miss at idle also. I replaced the engine last July with a junk yard engine because come to find out it had a burnt valve however when I bought it I was told the block had a crack in it so that's why I replaced it then I really can't have it go down I just lost my job do to it does not matter but I really cant have it go down on me right now. Anyways thanks for your input and we'll have a great day
