    Friends,

Anyone have pros/cons thoughts on the long bed option for a 2016 or 2017 Tundra Double Cab? I'm purchasing in the next week or two but am trying to figure out if I want to take the extra time and effort to run down a recently used long bed.

The only downsides I can think of are parking (should not be a big issue as we won't be living in the city and never plan to) and difficulty of finding the features I want on a used model.

    Thanks!

Good luck in your search. They are pretty hard to come by.

In the current model year many larger dealerships will stock the White SR work truck package or white SR5. Colors get hard to come by and you pretty much have to order one or do a search by several states.

Thanks for the good info Andy! I'll keep checking around and expand my search area.

I love my long bed. 5.7 with 4.30 gears pulls like a beast and carries everything you’d need

Sounds good. BTW I am in the market for a DCLB also. It's been a long road to get one ordered new but I believe I am getting close.

FWIW I wouldn't buy a truck without the long box. I'm coming from 1998 F150 Supercab 8' box that I had to order back then also. I can't tell you how many times I have used the full box. From landscaping material, lumber, motorcycles without the tailgate down, etc. I also had a 28" deep toolbox and still had plenty of bed space.

The DCLB are kind of "unicorns" but once you start looking you see them once in a while out in the wild.

Yeah you won't be doing any tight parallel parking maneuvers in these but the highway ride is great with the long wheelbase.
