Spent the evening under the fenders doing swap out! Like the ride and look of the new upgrades.

What do you think of the 5100s for level? How do they ride. So many people ask about them. Want some good reviews.
I have them in the fully adjustable Coilover form and they are great. Like them a lot.

Made about a 90 mile trip today on interstate and feels really good. Better than stock. Think the factory ones were gone anyway! Lol Have them on Max lift and they put me about 1.25 inch difference lower at front fender well.

Looking good! But don't you hate it now the lift makes the tires look smallish. More mods!:D

Looks good. Probably same route I'll take to level mine. I like the black door handles. Did you do that or did it come with them?

Sweet looking truck!!! I love the tires and wheels!!! Can a person just put 5100s on the front only? My truck is brand new TRD off road package 1794 and I would like to put 5100s on the front to give me a leveling effect. Not to be cheap, but I hate taking off brand new shocks on front already, let alone having to do the rears too. Everyone says the 5100s are the way to go to get leveling as opposed to a leveling kit. Any thoughts?

Thanks! That's how it came. It's an 07 that I purchased last year.

Was definitely the way for me to go. You can do front only if you prefer. Bit of a struggle putting them things on the front by yourself which I highly recommend you don't do. LOL. Did my research and decided a few extra dollars for the 5100's was worth it over the plastic block on top.

Looks great. What size tires are those? Any issues with rubbing the frame, flaps or bumper?

305/55 20 and it only barely rubbed the skid plate at full lock which I rolled the corner in with a pair of Vise grips. Thanks!

I saw a set of bilstein 5100 on cl for 120. Is that a good deal? They came off a truck so I don't know how old they are but they look pretty clean

yes, but it is recommended you match the rear with the front. Matching shocks will ride better than just doing the fronts alone.

Nice looking truck!! Mind me asking how you got those tx edition wheels?

Looks like you made it out okay in the flood bro!! My cousin lives in walker and I was in the middle of moving up here out of St.Amant, near port Vincent when it hit. Delayed my move by a couple weeks with cleaning crap out and helping others do the same.

Thanks man. Bought em off a guy in Prairieville. Had about 30" of water right where my truck is sitting on my driveway and was 28.5" in garage but my house was spared! 9ef390d046362249acaa9e8f4167577f_ad7561508d2b8f2ace60fecd91f7a2659af2aa3e.jpg
This pic was about 7am that Friday while it was still "low" lol.

Whew bro! You got lucky!! Glad you came out relatively unscathed!

Yeah, that was a bad weekend, backwater was still coming then. Was at my brother in law's store (Tureaus) that night helping him keep an eye on the generator. Woke up the next morning, had to drive through water up to the fog lights at 5am when it was still pitch black (and you know how narrow and how deep the ditches are on those roads) just to make sure my sister and their kids were ok. That was enough to make my asshole pucker up LOL.
Luckily both me and my brother in law's house only got an inch and a half.

Hope I don't have to get those wheels from a dealership when time comes to get new tires! (More $$$)

Look around on Craigslist or on FB in Louisiana Tundras cause I've seen a few sets around. Now mind you I had to do some work on them to get em pretty again. Got a buddy that just swapped out a set to the new TSS black wheels but he may try to get his TX editions looking like mine do. His look like crap he said after sitting in river water for several days.

Ouch! And those are such nice wheels!
