Anybody tried to install a swing case with a solid fold. Company says it will not work but dimensions seem to indicate enough clearance.

I bet it would. Don't see why it wouldn't.

Looks like there is a fold up Tonneau on this one.

yeah, that is the picture I have seen. Measurements indicate it would work. I know somebody has tried it with an Extang Solid fold?

I have two swing cases installed and a Fold-A-Cover G4 mounted on a 2105 Crewmax. There is more than enough clearance by several inches.

The measurement from the bed floor to the top of the my case is 16.5 inches. The measurement from the top of the bedrail to the top of the case is 6.25 inches. I'm not sure I understand what measurement you are asking for "lower lip of the bed"?

All this discussion has me looking at my brackets a little closer. I installed mine in May 2015, under a cover and they barely get used. The brackets are already rusting. They are coming out this Spring for PlastiDip. You may want to do something similar prior to install.

Well, I will let everyone know. Although undercover sent me an email saying it would not work, I got one coming in. Maybe, once they found it would not work on other trucks with a Extang Solid Fold they just said the same for all. The dimensions do not lie. It should work. I will post once I get the swing case in.

Let us know the results once you get the swingcase in and installed... I may do the same as far as ordering a swing case, I also have a solid fold. They claim it will hit on the spring clamps that hold down the tonneau, I hope they're wrong in this specific case.

Thankful this thread exists. I was very excited about the swing case to handle my tie downs and other crap, but then I thought about cover as I'll be doing the Extang as well. Piece of mind... priceless!!

I would advise not to get the Extang solid fold if you want to install a swing case. It does work but it is tight fit since the clamps to hold it down and fold it up sit directly on top of the swing case. I trimmed the bottom 1/2" off the clamp but I probably did not have to it is just tight. I already had the cover and I wanted a swing case. If you do not have the cover and you know you want a swing case I would get another model that does not have clamps that fold it up or clamp in down in that location.
