Wondering, like probably many of you, when Toyota will release details on the all new tundra platform. My guess is we will hear something next year during the first quarter. Will it be a 2019 or 2020 model? The current model is a very good truck, but Toyota can do so much better to keep up with other manufacturers in this segment.

From my understanding the new model change will be in 20’.

More likely it will be a 2021 model, with sales starting in mid-2020

I like my tried-and-true platform. I know everyone wants the trucks to keep up with the big three. But when you start adding all that stuff your reputation is on the line if you can’t pull it off properly. All that reliability and resale we all count on could go right out the window. All those nice features that the other manufactures have seem to be a bunch of gimmicky bullshit. Look at the problems the 18s are having with just adding all that safety sensors shit. I’m glad I got one of the last of the basic bitches out there.
