    Hey guys,

Looking at a couple of 2010-2012 5.7L 4x4’s. They’ve both got 100k miles. I’m a little hesitant in spending 23 or so grand on a truck I might have to put work into. Any thoughts? Stuff to look for at this mileage/age?

I did find a couple of 4.6’s for quite a bit cheaper and 60-70k miles, but I won’t open that debate :D

I bought my 08 DC with 67,000 miles in 2015 for $22,000. Has 4WD and the 5.7L engine. The only negative mine had when I bought it was a dent running 12’ or so along the passenger side bedside, was originally gonna replace it but it never bothered me enough to actually do it.

The only thing to worry about on a 2nd gen is the AIP issue, if it hasn’t been done already it’s covered up to 10 years and 150k miles from date of manufacture. Haven’t heard of any cam tower leak issues on 2nd gens.

A 100K is still low.Even for a 12. Check CarFax if you can. Depends on how well cared for and driven. My 07 hit 87.6K miles yesterday. No serious issues yet. No minor ones come to think of it.

In the process of getting a 2013 5.7 with 73k miles. Certified pre owned so that kind of
    sold me.
