Does anyone own or know if the 40/20/40 front bench seat found in 4.6 SR5 is a three piece seat or two piece like the rear seats in a CM. More specifically I am curious if the center seat can be removed separately. Thanks

I concur with the above picture. 3 Seats. Works great when you have family in town. We drove around all weekend with 6 people in the CM, and didnt need to take the 4Runner or Highlander out with 3rd rows. Very useful, comfortable, and goes right back to an armrest when they leave!

I’ve got the bench seat in my 5.7 cm also. Love it, didn’t want that big console thing.

Thanks for the info guys, really helps with my radical project idea of adding a center seat in place of my center console. I have the large center console that is rarely used except to hold a few small items, and me and my wife both miss the times of riding around with her setting in the center seat snuggled up close. My next step is to try and remove the entire center console and see if it’s feasible to even install a center seat and how the shifter is set up. If that all works out, then I just need to acquire the appropriate seat from a salvage yard and have it leather wrapped to match my driver and passenger seats.

Seat thing shouldn’t be a big deal. Shifter????? Mine is on the steering column like most trucks. Although a little longer. Going from a console shift to column is gonna be a pain in the ass.

Agree the shifter is on the column. So wouldnt be so easy.. another thing the seat is great but theirs a big buldge on the feet. So kinda somethibg to think about
