I recently got a 2014 Tundra Crewmax and LOVE it. All my coworkers love it too! (Yes I work for the enemy, GM, lol) My question is about the Nav Radio. I find when I am streaming audio via Bluetooth with an iPhone 5s the radio will just suddenly lock up and freeze. At times I have to hold the power button, at times it will reset itself but takes a minute or two. Anyone else seen this? Hoping there is a software update for it from the Toyota dealer.

    Thanks!

I stream Pandora thru my LG G4...no issues. What music service do you use? Maybe the issue isn't with phone or Engine radio...?

Amazon prime music and the di.fm app. It does it with both. Music is playing fine and music suddenly stops, when this occurs the radio locks up and does not respond to any button presses or the screen.

Significant other in the picture? Try streaming another phone...? If another Apple device try and Android.

Not sure what to tell you. Try out some possible solutions because it'll just help out your case if you have to take it to the dealership.

I dumped Pandora the other month after their stand on #Blacklivesmatter
I use Amazon Prime. Unlimited skips and can restart the song if wanted.

I dont like entune at all. I just took a trip to Mt Rushmore where there is no service and I couldnt use the nav for 80% of my trip. Very dissapointed.

I get the lockup/reset when I use Pandora and stream from another website, it's also done it just while listening to my USB stick too but it's been awhile so maybe I've gotten an update and don't know it.

I'm not a huge fan of Entune and if the problems were more often I'd be looking on Crutchfield to replace it, the only problem is the amp under the seat and how that would figure in the matter.

Darn, I bought a Toyota because I didn't want to deal with all the bull$hit I deal with at GM every day including those crappy mylink radios. I guess it followed me anyway. :(

I am hoping someone can help me out.
I have a 2014 Tundra SR-5 4x4. I purchase my truck new. At 37,034 miles my Stereo started to act-up. At first it would turn on and off, I took it to my local Toyota dealer and they told me my Stereo was going bad and I needed to replace it at a cost of $1,275, I said no way.
I came home and started looking into an aftermarket radio, I found one for $499.00. That same day I had to connect my trailer and transport my tractor 100+ miles away. I noticed my radio never turned off. I arrived home and disconnected the trailer. 2 days later the radio started blinking on and off but the Auto never quit, the screen just blinked and go blank for 2 to 5 min and turn on and off. a few weeks later I connected my trailer again and my lights wouldn't work, I checked the wiring harness on the hitch and had no power. I found a blown fuse so I replaced it, power came on. I connected the trailer and took a 35 mile ride. Again the radio kept turning off and on. I came home and disconnected the trailer, to my surprise i had no more issues with my radio again or the trailer connections for 14 months. in January 2018 my radio started flickering again, a few weeks later it started turning off and on Audio and screen, now the radio turned off and wouldn't turn back on unless I disconnect the battery for several min and reconnect the battery and starting the vehicle, the radio comes on and works until i turn the motor off, and its back to the same-thing, wouldn't turn on.
I understand that I may need to reFlash the program on the stereo. Can someone please help me with some advice.
