Hey all. 2010 Tacoma owner here looking to buy a Tundra near Colorado Springs. Looking for advice. I think I want an SR5 or Limited package. I think I want the double cab because I want the long bed option.

Basically I am looking for a dealer who wont screw me and advice on options and packages. Is the back seat of a double cab big enough for adults to sit in for a couple hours?

I want to tow a CJ-7 on a car hauler trailer. I will do this and tow a 3600 pound rafting trailer about 1000 miles a few times per year. Am I looking at the right truck?

Ive heard that the factory trailer brake controllers are problematic. Is that still true?

    Thanks in advance.

I'm not qualified to speak on the towing part, but I can tell you it's a little cheaper if you look at Pueblo Toyota.

Find a Tundra at a dealership, find a day off I have, I’ll load my Jeep on my trailer, come tow with it.

    I’m in the Black Forest.

If you are willing to drive north, we could probably get you a good deal at Mountain States Toyota.

I think I bought my Tacoma from you when I lived in Texas.

X2 for Mountain States Toyota. I can't comment much on fitting adults in the back seat as it is just myself, my wife, and our two kids for trips. I have a double cab and it was a little tight fitting the rear-facing car seat in the back of the truck. No longer an issue now that the kids are bigger and we can rotate their kids seats forward-facing.

is $41,865 plus tax a good price for a 2018 Double Cab Tundra with the Limited package, premium package, no bed liner, no side steps?

Sounds like it. I paid $42 for an SR5 with TRD upgrade. Probably paid a little more cause mine was white and they are in high demand so premium price.

Mountain States I've heard great things about. I got jerked around in motor city, but Liberty out off powers reeled me in a treated me right. The sales Manager at Liberty, Gary is a good friend.
