Don’t have any. I have imperical evidence as to why.....

I want one or the other. I love the ease of RTT, but could use the bed a little easier if I had the shell. If I two story it I would get a smaller RTT to put up top. Mine is large and heavy

I bought my topper for the purpose of camping in the bed and i built a removable platform and it worked great...except for the fact that i am taller than 5' 5" :) but i still like the topper for hauling the dogs around and it's good to have for many other purposes. If i had a double cab, i would continue to just sleep in the bed with no RTT.

I have a DC. That was one reason I didn’t get a CM

I am just waiting on REI to have their annual sale. I will be purchasing a Tepui from them.

The only thing that worries me about that RTT is it will hang off the edge if you have it mounted in the back of a CrewMax bed.

Depends on how big the tent is but, in most cases, no

    From the tepui website:
    Size (Closed) 72" x 48" x 12" (W x L x H)

I believe the CM truck bed is 67"

That's a bigger sized RTT. If you had a topper you could mount it on that and have it hang over your cab. My RTT is

3p is perfect over the bed.
I have the Autana 3p a lot of room to spare, and you can deploy from either direction.

If you get tepui, keep an eye out on the showroom/blemished tents. Since you are in CA make a trip out to pick one up and check out the showroom! You can use it the next day after you buy it!

REI also sells the Yakima brand RTT which is way lighter that the Tepui but only 3 season. And you should be getting your-20% coupon real soon
I just upgraded from a Tacoma with a shell to a tundra and haven’t set up my RTT yet.

Sorta what I have, mine is pretty bare bones/redneckish ran a couple of 2x8's across bed rails, put 2 hollow core doors on top, perfect fit,. Full size air mattress fits in bed. Brother built rack for top of cap. It's all good till I fill it with rocks !
