So I banged up one of my bars (N Fab brand) on an invisible boulder and I'm looking for some advice. The bar itself still has 100% integrity, however the impact bent all 3 brackets which in turn twisted the bar counterclockwise badly enough that I either want it repaired or replaced. Here's what I feel my options are from best to worst..
    1) Uninstall bar and hopefully a welder can remove, straighten, and re-weld brackets? Could be pricey
    2) Uninstall bar and have the Incredible Hulk bang the brackets with a rubber mallet to straighten?
    3) Re-order an entire new set (which I would have to order both bars and spend approx $575)
    4) Leave as is which will eat away at my core knowing they are bent.

Attached is a photo of one of the brackets on the underside of truckIMG_8860.jpg

You can bend them back, they are mild steel, that’s why they bent. Probably have to touch up the finish after, may damage from bending. If you find invisible boulders, I suggest real sliders. Recently got sliders, had no idea, did a run with a bunch of switchbacks and not caring about rockers and doors is helpfull.

I would do number one. Mild steel will inevitably fail again. If it were me I’d make friends with a welder real quick haha.

Yeah bend them back then shoot them with some black paint. I got my nfabs used and had to do this exact process and they turned out great. The wife doesn't even know which side was bent.

They need to bend, or they will destroy the floor of the cab. Bend them back and forget about it.
