No brake controller doesn’t necessarily mean it hasn’t towed - I think most people would take their brake controller with them at trade in.

    None. Keeping this one stock.
What year. Brake controllers are not included with 16 and below. But are wired for them.

A dealer asking way too much for a used Pro sounds about right. It takes the right person to come along and pay that much, so that's probably why it's been sitting. If it's certified and comes with a warranty I wouldn't worry about it as long as you feel comfortable with the deal/price you're getting.

Dealers normally keep their vehicles for 90 days before selling it at wholesale auction. He probably was asking too much initillay so he lowered it and possibly will lower it even more next month if no one buys it.

You can either wait for him to lower it again and then negotiate the price but normally Toyota’s don’t sit that long. My hitch has a slight rust on it for not being used forever.

The red flag is the dealer telling you it wasn't used for towing. How do they know? They don't. If you like the price and it comes with a warranty then get it but don't trust anything the dealer tells you. They typically know less about our trucks than we do. The little bit of rust can always be painted with some POR15 and doesn't sound at all unusual.

Agreed. Let's see the posting. Verify it's an actual pro and not an sr5 with a pro grill for a huge markup.

Here are some pictures. What are those black things along the bottom half of the doors? It has it on both sides of the truck.9ED136CC-4CBD-46FB-B6CB-6BB8D452D408.jpg

The interest in Pros has declined a bit. There was a new Cement Pro that has been sitting at a local dealership for a while (which didn't happen when Pros first came out). So the Pro you are looking at sitting on a lot for a while doesn't mean much at this point, especially a used one.

I don’t mean to sound like a jerk but will come off as one.
Why can’t you share the link to the sales page? If there isn’t one that’s fine but I mean showing two pictures and asking a vague question isn’t going to yield answers from
People here who are seriously able to help you man.

Because it will be more likely to be sold before I have a chance to get over there if it’s posted somewhere like here for lots of people to see.

Ok I removed the link if you feel that may happen. Sorry.

I think there’s a few things for the price and it sitting. Mainly it’s bright red. Not a lot of people want it. Secondly looks customized on the interior also which some may not like. Third, even for vehicles not in the south generally the amount of miles it has on it is kind of high. I’m from up north originally and know the amount of miles that tundra has on it would’ve turned me away from buying it.

Go test drive and see it in person maybe it’ll help u get a better feel.

I will stop after this so not to threadjack even more than I have but those look like door guards (not sure if exact name).

those are just "edge guards" to keep from chipping paint if you open the door on someone elses vehicle or a wall or something. doesn't look standard though, maybe installed by previous owner. Will probably just pull off

I have an inferno DC and it came with edge guards on the doors. I didn't see this thread while the link was up, so I missed what part of the U.S. it's in, and the mileage.

I love my Inferno and looked "everywhere" to find it but a lot of people don't want to own one. It's flashy and draws a lot of attention. Dealers and private parties have trouble finding a buyer because of this. When this colour was only available on the Pro, it was rare and desirable. Once it became an option for other models, not so much. Cement has replaced it as the "cool" colour. That alone might be why it's still on the lot.

Certified is certified. If that warranty will cover anything that happens, I don't see much risk. Crawl under it to look for rust on the frame. If it looks clean and comes with a great warranty, buy it or tell me where it is.... :anonymous:

the colour , and being a DC may be a reason , just more CM out there . I am a DC owner and love it (single, kids grown etc) my only gripe is the blind spot from the C pillar/ back door pillar cant see shit looking over your shoulder . thank god for the back up camera (also why I added back up sensors )

I agree with others. It's probably just due to configuration. The crew max is more sought after also Inferno isn't for everyone. If I were you I would go down and check it out in person. Ask for a car fax on it to make sure there are no red flags.

Not necessarily true. All things considered. Both used DCs and CMs equally sell like hotcakes here in CO.

Just grab your nuts and buy it!

I don't believe there are any DC Inferno TRD PRO owners that regret their purchase. Plus since it's been there a while, you have a step up with negotiating a little better deal... Have them throw in a brake controller, heated seats, or some other goodies if they won't move on the sale price.

    Go for it!
