Found out the other day while tearing up old carpet that there was ceramic tile underneath some laminate wood flooring.. so instead of just tearing up the carpet I also took out the laminate wood flooring as the previous home owner didn't do the best job of installing it as there were gaps between pieces everywhere. Other than needing a good scrub down and cleaning, all of the ceramic tile was in great shape, which is nice to know as we were wanting to run tile all through the hallway anyway at some point

Had about 30 bags of trash when it was all said and done.. about three quarters of it fit into the truck to dispose of.. the remaining the trash man has to deal with tomorrow

This past weekend I ran wires for a surveillance system. I bought this house so I learned quite a bit about it. After figuring a few things out it went smooth with good help.

I'm looking forward to finishing the rest.

Applied Tropi-Cool roof coating to my flat roofs. Had the perfect day for it Saturday, cloudy with a chance of rain(cures better with moisture), and almost perfectly it lightly rained 45 min. after completion:bananadance:. Need to remove masking tape and caulk/paint flashing in a few days. Great product.

I can't draw a line with a straight edge so I applaud  y'alls talent and ability. That's why I'm so glad my wife's side of the family has plumbing, masonry and carpenters on it and its really amazing what you can get done when you mention you'll feed'em and give'em beer or liquor afterwards .

Before and after . I consider myself pretty handy around the house. Not a plumber fo sho , but Sharkbite fittings make you the best plumber around haha. It made the job super easy with no soldering or glue. I won't say I didn't :censored:, but satisfied with my work and no leakage . Time for a beer:cheers:

    Looks great @Jsena .
What did you use on the cabinets? I've used General Finishes gel stain over polyurethane
on some projects. Always used Java color and I'm always amazed how well it works. Your project looks similar as far as woodwork goes. That's a lot of work, great job

People that put tile as kitchen counter tops should get a swift kick in the uprights.

Oh it was, and I deserve a good kick in the nuts. I’ve done it thinking it would be user friendly. Not so much.

What a change that made to your kitchen. Is that quartz or granite?

We only have 1.76 acres. Looks bigger though. Everyone around me has 6 or more.

Here’s an overview. The trees are now in a woodpile somewhere.

    415BDA23-9202-4385-8CA8-7EDA2E63E00E.jpg

The front of the property will have a shop, and a Rec room/bar with a couple extra bedrooms for when the Tundra crew people need a place to crash.
