I put some tow mirrors with lights on a while back. The truck was already pre-wired to work with the lights. So now when I turn my lights on or use my blinkers the little lights on the mirrors work.

    I have a 2014 CM SR5 with center console.

What else is hiding in this truck that I can tap into?

Electric power for a passenger power seat?

    Heated Seats?

    Power mirrors?

    Beer tap?

Anyone have an idea of what these trucks may be hiding?

Didnt find any threads on this but maybe my search term was off. If its a repeated repeat I can delete.

Check out the 'anytime fog' mod. Requires a little snip and tapping, but it's easy and straight forward for a '14. Took me about 30 mins.

Alarm? Sometimes they're already installed and not "turned" on.

Ha. I used to see a sailboat racing on the SF bay named Trunk Monkey, someone had to explain what it meant.

This question kind of goes hand in hand with my thread I posted earlier so I'm gonna ask here as well... Does anyone know if the 3rd gen (specifically the 2017) SR5 have the wiring for the memory seat already installed? I'm curious if I can just buy the switch and install it. I plan to do some investigating when the weather gets warmer (Ohio weather has been temperamental lately) but I was hoping someone already knows. The control for the power seat on the driver side according to Toyota is for all models so my guess is that all that's needed is the switch so I'm really hoping the plug is just chilling out in the door panel. Tired of my wife diving and moving my seat through the windshield hahahaha.

I recall seeing on one of the other tundra forums (can't remember which one) where someone was asking the same. The short answer is that it's not an easy task. Not a plug-n-play with a switch.
Something with the wiring running for the mirrors which you have to use when installing the memory switch. There's then the wiring to the seats (of course) and something about having to flash ecu's.

The other option is to not allow the wife to drive it! Ha!

You could install the glass breakage sensor and control unit like I did. You probably already have the wiring for it. I made a thread about it.

Oh lord... I've been searching different forums high and low to no avail. Why in the hell would the mirrors be tied to it!? Oh well. If you happen to find where you saw it I'd appreciate it. I may be willing to try something crazy before I tell the wife she can't drive anyone :p

Started looking after my last. Found it... was on T..talk, quoted from T..solutions.
Just google, 'memory switch for power seats Tundra'

"This would be a major retrofit and headache. The Memory Seat Buttons you discuss are just the buttons. These are wired into the Outer Mirror ECU which converts the button information into a CAN Bus signal and communicates with the Body ECU and the Power Seat ECU which is located in the Driver's SeatSwitch Assembly.

So--you would need to buy the Memory Buttons, the MirrorControl ECU and replace the SeatSwitch assembly with the SeatSwitch Assemby/ECU. You would also need to replace or reflash the Body ECU with the correct software to allow communication on the CAN bus with all the parts. This would cause you a problem as you're missing the steeringwheel Tilt & Telescope function so you'll get a constant DTC telling you the Body ECU can find the T&T ECU. Of course all the wiring is different and then there is the mirrorcontrol issue to deal with too....."

Thanks for that! Apparently my Google search wasn't good enough... You'd think 'memory seat switch for SR5 Tundra' would have found that at least in the 10th page of Google's results  Oh well I think it's not going to happen then. I've been slowly kicking myself for just not pulling the trigger on the Platinum. I just don't like leather seats lol. Oh well gonna have to make the driver seat a wife free zone until I buy a new Tundra one day.

That sounds like a good idea for a sign... 'Wife free zone'.
We've got fingerprint scanners on our phones now...shouldn't be to much longer before we'll have them on key fobs?! o_O
